It's enough

A big thank you to everyone on this forum who has supported Romy in this thread.

Firstly, I want to apologise for the lack of moderator activity on this thread. I have received a report from Munchies and am following up on it today. I apologise that there was no prior action from the moderation team.

It appears that member Hedonistic_Purity has deleted their account. However, I can assure you that we have records of their activity. If they recreate their account, the mod team will be aware of their past behaviour.

Based on the majority response in this forum, it seems we all agree on the importance of body autonomy and weight loss within the community. Regardless of personal preferences, we should be respectful when someone’s health is at risk or if they simply change their mind about gaining. Personal preferences shouldn't override someone's right to make decisions that align with their health and well-being whether that involves gaining, maintaining, or losing weight.

@Romy - Please continue to use this thread to update us on your progress and use it as a space for advice, and support on your weight loss journey.

Here’s some personal advice from me...Enjoying a burger, fried chicken, or chocolate in moderation won’t harm you. You don’t have to give up the foods you love entirely. The key is cutting down and being mindful of when and how you indulge. Don’t expect to completely change your eating habits overnight; small, gradual adjustments over time will make a big difference.

I encourage you to be accountable—it might be tough to admit when you’ve “cheated” to your partner, but recovery is a journey that includes mistakes and setbacks. Being honest with your family and keeping a food diary can be valuable tools to help you stay on track.

Remember, slipping up doesn’t mean you’ve ruined your diet or your day. You can always get back on track without letting one mistake overshadow your progress. Focus on your successes, the positive changes you’ve made, and most importantly, be kind to yourself!

I’d also encourage you to consider attending meetings focused on addiction. I have friends who have found SMART Recovery helpful—it’s a free service that offers daily online meetings where you can talk about your addiction. You might think these meetings are only for alcohol or drug addiction, but that’s not the case. People from all over the world attend online for support. They use the term “drug of choice”, so participants don’t have to disclose their specific addiction unless they choose to. It’s a great resource that might provide you with some support on your journey.

There is a USA and Canadian site and also a UK site.

A reset warning.

Munchies:
Yeah. I don't think a lot of people understand what the countdown is for. So, if it isn't too much of a bother, could you have him explain what the countdown is for when he does it?

I think if he told people about the reset and the chat leaks, people would appreciate it more. We get a ton of newbies every day, and sometimes long time users are in chat during reset for the first time.

Everybody wins this way. Especially Dragorat.

Of course, just to confirm, I’ve already reached out to Dragorat about this. Hopefully, the warning will be in place starting with tonight’s chat reset.

Thanks again for the feedback and help!

A reset warning.

Munchies:
I know that most days, DragoRat is in chat during this time. Maybe you can have him warn people? I know he usually does a countdown to when the chat resets. He tends to leave shortly after the chat leaks happen, so I don't think this would inconvenience him.

I'm not often on the site during the reset, but if Dragorat is still running his nightly countdown to make users aware of the chat reset. I'm sure he'd be happy to include a warning that there is a chance of private chat leaks at reset also.

I understand that some people aren't fans of the countdown, so I hope users will see Dragorat's warning as a helpful temporary workaround until the issue is resolved.

Is it appropriate to save beverage videos under food?

I'm 99% sure this issue is related to the other photos you’ve posted.

While we have different categories, only the most recent picture will appear in the main gallery section. For example, if I post a picture of food in the "Food" category and then immediately post a picture of my face in the "General" category, both photos will appear in my personal gallery. However, only the most recent photo will show in the main content section gallery.

I mention this because the food picture is still visible in your gallery, and I can see the "New" icon next to it in the first screenshot. But since you’ve posted newer photos, the most recent one will appear in the main content section and in the relevant category.

This feature was implemented a while ago to prevent content spamming, where users would mass upload pictures that could take over the content sections. However, perhaps we could look into updating this so it's more category-specific in the future so that the newest pictures in each category per user are all shown.

Hope this makes sense, any questions let me know.

Wrong gender of viewers

Newenglander:
Let's not forget the site specifically recommends members reach out to others in fairly close geographic proximity or newly registered.

The algorithm doesn't seem to take into account either member's preferences.

When you go to the profile section, you'll see several prefilter categories. By clicking "See More," on these it allows you to see all profiles matching those prefilters such as: Newest, Online, Local, Feeders, and Feedees.

If you click the "See All" button at the bottom of the profiles page without selecting any of the prefilters mentioned above, it will display all profiles in order of last online, without applying any other search filters.

Of course, you also have the option to customize your own profile search filters to refine your results even further. I’m not entirely sure what you’re describing with your experience, though, as the algorithm doesn't prioritize new profiles or local ones by default.

Manchester uk?

Manxie:
Yes, I am looking for a girl to take out for the occasional fattening evening in and around Manchester - no set ideas but it is likely plenty of food, interesting chat, humour and encouragement would all be provided free of charge!

If anyone fancies that, feel free to tell me more about yourself smiley

This comes across more like a personal ad than an effort to spark interest in a group meet-up in Manchester. I’d recommend posting in the personal ad forums and keep event threads for group-related discussion / meet ups.

Does anyone know whether there are any events or meetups that happen in devon uk

I’m not aware of any events near Devon.

The only plus size nights I know of are hosted by those that run Club Indulge, and they’re usually in London, sometimes they venture out to other cities, but I have never been to one of these events myself. I would also say they are not Feedism events, more of fat liberation safe space for larger people to feel comfortable on a night out.

If you’re looking for something local, or looking to meet people into Feedism it might be worth trying to organize a small local meetup yourself.
