Now that im going back tomorrow ive lost interest in gaining and im beginning to feel like I should loose weight again but if I can get over this feeling for a few weeks I feel I'll finally get past my weight wall and be well on my way to a fat life..how do ye do it?

Munchies:
Motivation is person specific. What works for one doesn't work for all.

That said, I've noticed the biggest reasons people struggle with commitment are treating weight gain like a job/chore or having conflicting thoughts about gaining weight.

To add to what you said. I also think people don't realize the time and money it takes to gain. Most people here, myself included, can't wait to gain. We'd all love to have it happen fast. But, that's just not how it works. It costs quite a bit to get thousands of extra calories a day. Then having to keep at it long enough to gain a noticeable amount. Which causes people to get discouraged and lose motivation. Just like losing weight works best as a long term lifestyle change. Gaining is the same. Slowly ramping up the changes. Eating more and more as you adjust to it.

Even with things like heavy cream, which is probably the most calories you can buy for your money besides straight oil, take time to gain a noticable amount. Don't get me wrong these things can and do work. I've had good success with heavy cream. But, gaining is a marathon, not a sprint.

With all that said. Gaining is definitely possible, no matter who you are. There wouldn't be an obesity epidemic if it were difficult. It's a matter of getting ones expectations in line with reality. Hope that helps a bit. Best of luck!

Heavy cream not working

I've used heavy cream to much success. Everything everyone has said is great advice. I'd add that, from what I've heard, your body can only digest so much so fast in a given time. So it might be better to take smaller amounts more frequently thru the day. I forget the numbers, but I heard something like your body can only process 1000 calories every 4 hours or 6 hours. Any excess is wasted.
Also, one of the biggest things that is frustrating but it is what it is, is that weight gain takes time. Lots of time for it to be noticeable. The scale can lie. As our weight can fluctuate daily by a decent amount. With 3500 excess calories a day to gain 1 lb. Which is in excess to the 2000-2500 you need just to exist. Not counting any walking, exercise, etc. Then It can take sometimes 10 or more lbs of gained fat to have it be noticeable. Even then, it's gonna be barely noticeable. Slow and steady wins the race with both weight gain and weight loss. Keep a journal of how many calories you take in a day. That can give an idea of how much weight you should theoretically be gaining. Then, just give it time. If you try to go to fast you can burn yourself out and give up. Keep those calories high each day and just keep at it. After a couple months it will definitely be noticeable. Hope that helps. Best of luck!

Gaining subcutaneous fat without dairy products?

AnonLovesBlubber:
If I'm lactose intolerant, how does one gain non visceral fat without dairy?

Heavy cream has little to negligible lactose. Usually with dairy the higher the fat the less lactose. But that's not true of all. Also, hard cheeses, like cheddar also have pretty much no lactose. I find heavy cream works wonders. You should still pace yourself and work your way up in what you take in a day. As it can still bother the digestive track because of how much fat it has in it. Drinking it or cooking with it in small amount many times thru the day is better than taking a lot all at once. You can probably find how much, if any, lactose is in various dairy thru Google.

Lactaid tablets can give you the enzyme to digest lactose. Barring all the previous, coconut cream has almost the same amount of fat and calories with no lactose. If you like the taste of coconut. I have issues with lactose and have found heavy cream to be fine and work very well. Hope that helps, best of luck!

Heavy cream challenge

Heavy cream has been the single biggest help for me with gaining. Some stores have 1 quart for as little as $5 and that 1 quart is 3500 calories! Basically I eat relatively normal. As long as I get to the daily 2000-2500 calories need to live. Then the heavy cream is the excess calories. I usually take it after eating throughout the day. I usually finish the 1 quart every 2-3 days give or take. I actually like the taste of it. It doesn't bother me at all. So I just drink it straight. But I've heard many don't like how thick it is.
I like the challenge idea. Consistency is key and I also have had issues keeping it going. But overall I think you eventually get used to it. They say a habit takes 60days to form. So keep at it lol smiley

Getting uncomfortable when people talk about weight

Unless someone specifically knows you like this stuff it's highly unlikely anything they are doing or saying is targeted at you. Just like anyone with a fetish or kink, people without it will sometimes say or do things that no one but us would notice. We then may look much too into it and see something that isn't there. This fetish doesn't seem to be very common. But, weight is something most everyone deals with, talks about, etc at some time or another. So, I think you may be seeing patterns that aren't really there. You remember all the times people have talked about weight because that topic interests you. But all the times it's other topics those get more easily forgotten. Your neighbor, it seems, is a different story though.

Ever want to get back in shape?

I have a medical condition which is what has mostly contributed to why I was underweight most my life. I've been in remission for a bit now and hope to stay in remission. Since once that ends I'm most likely losing any weight I gained and then some. Along with a 5th surgery which usually includes weeks to months in the hospital NPO or nothing by mouth. Basically I'm taking advantage of this window in my life to live out this aspect of this fantasy by gaining. I don't want to go back to underweight. But, since I know it's pretty much inevitable I'm hoping I get a few years to live this life.

Any tips to gain for beginners

Gaining weight is like losing weight. If you want it to stay you need a lifestyle change. Slowly but surely increasing calories so that you have a decent excess every or most days will work better long term. Instead of going crazy stuffing yourself could get exhausting quick and expensive too. Granted some people can do it that way. One of the biggest mistakes I see new gainers make (not that I'm an expert or anything smiley) is not realizing how many calories they need to gain and then how many pounds/kilograms they need to gain for it to be noticeable. Starting off with a food diary to keep track of how many calories you're eating in a day is a great way to know if you need to make adjustments. It also allows you to add up the excess calories and get an idea how long it will take to gain each pound. We need about 2000-2500 calories a day just to exist. That isn't counting any calories burned from any physical activity. Then it takes 3500 calories in excess of your daily calories to gain 1lb of body fat. Further still it takes usually more than 5-10lbs of fat to even start to notice a change depending on how your body stores it. I don't say this to scare you away. Just to have realistic expectations. Gaining is a slow and steady process that takes time. I've found that I make sure to eat 2500 calories a day then I use heavy cream or other high calorie things to add the excess each day. Heavy cream isn't for everyone. But 1 quart has 3500 calories. So basically you'll gain 1lb everytime you finish one. As long as you are eating your daily calories. It doesn't have to be heavy cream, many things can do the job. High fat and high calorie things can also take one's digestive track some time to get used to. Usually best to have smaller amounts thru the day or after eating to aid in digestion. Hopefully some of that info helps. There are many weight gain calculators online. Finding out how many calories you'll need to eat a day to say gain 10lbs in a month makes it much easier to plan and make sure you are eating enough each day. Best of luck!

Been seriously focused on gaining lately and i love it

It is damn fun isn't it? Lol. I've been gaining on and off for a bit over a year and have gone from about 140lbs to about 220lbs. I imagine noticing all the changes and enjoying it is like how body builders feel when they get bigger muscles or when some one loses a lot of weight that they've been struggling with. There has definitely been a sense of accomplishment. Since, especially at the start, gaining has been a struggle at times. But we keep at it smiley congrats on your accomplishments so far and many more to come! smiley

Is your fetish top secret? who knows in your life? how did you tell them? how did they respond?

My wife is the only person who knows all aspects of it. My best friend knows a little. Another friends wife knows a little because she is into some of the same things and we both figured that out about each other and talked about it. Friends and family know I prefer larger women, which my wife has become over the years. Other than that no one knows anything and other than my wife, the people that do know don't know all the nitty gritty details. Overall, I think ones sexual life is their own and private. The only ones who get to know anything are the ones you want to tell. Even then I think mostly limiting to people you are with and at a point in your relationship that trust and communication are at a level to say something. But, to each their own.

Bf getting out of shape makes me conflicted

The saying goes "you can't out run your fork". Weight loss is like 80-90% what you eat and that last bit is exercise. Exercise overall is great and healthy, for the most part. So him getting more of it is a good thing. As you mentioned, unless he is doing intense long workouts there is most likely nothing to worry about. On the contrary, many people gain weight when they start working out. They over estimate how many calories they burn exercising. They then feel that can have an extra treat that blows away the calories they just burned and then some. Which your BF seems to have done.
Of course, supporting him in whatever path he chooses is the way to go. Does he know that you like that he gained weight? Honest communication is the best solution. Overall, I wouldn't worry to much. Weight loss takes time and a lot of work. Without some serious dietary changes I don't think the scale is gonna be going down for him. Quite the opposite actually lol. Take care!
