It's normal for people to gain 10lbs in a month but quite something to do that for several months.

Here's a thought. Acid reflux might not be too much acid but not enough. When you digest you need really strong acid, then once it's done it's job it's neutralised.

With acid reflux your acid is too weak so takes ages to digest and ends up frothing up and coming up your throat.

When most acid medications are designed to weaken the already weak acid it's temporarily solving the problem whilst making it worse in the long run.

Solution is to add acid to your food such as vinegar. Don't eat anything which might neutralise the acid when you're digesting. However between meals it would be a good idea to take bicarbonate of soda but obviously only when you've digested the food in your stomach.
