Time to double the treats and see what she says... or eats.
It's always incremental. I've discovered increasing frequency is far more effective than quantity in terms of total calories for the day. If I get her too stuffed, too much time will pass between the next snack. Keeping her grazing all night is generally my approach. 😋

The response that every feeder hears at some point. The wall that must be taken down brick by brick.
I'll often show up from the gas station or drive-thru and hand my wife a treat. She used to pull the "I didn't want that", "I didn't ask for this".
One of the most satisfying developments over time as they become accustomed to constantly getting little freebie treats is "it doesn't matter that you didn't want it. It's here. For you. Your name is on it.... as you open it up, smell the food, you're going to learn to want it."
This just becomes a normal event and something they slowly start to look forward to. Now if I come back with something for me and not her, she wonders where her snack is.
No more "I didn't want that".
What you did or didn't want is irrelevant. You're always up for a snack now. The only thing that matters is there's some surprise food here for you. And you know you're eventually going to eat it. And you can thank me later.
Now I'll come home with fries and get the "ooow, it's like you read my mind!"
I'm thinking "no, you're just a fattie now."

9/10 there's going to be women far larger than you there. So just let it hang.
Nothing better than seeing a BBW at the pool with an ice cream or snack in hand. Internally, every skinny little thing watching their bikini figure sees that ice cream and wants one.

billedmeup:Night shifts.Going from three meals a day to four put on 50 pounds in the first year.
Every nurse I've known has blown up! My buddy says he'll get off his 12hr shift, late, starving and then pickup a pizza and eat it all by himself with a couple beers, go right to sleep. Wake up, immediately eat....

All matters what you mean by "grows with you". That one dress is now a slightly shorter skirt, but looks "fine" to you.
All of my wive's shorts are basically now daisy dukes this summer and she is stingy about constantly buying new larger clothes and insists they "fit fine" "don't make me feel fat".
But there are times we're heading out to places she doesn't realize they're totally inappropriate.

Fatty foods actually have far more calories than sweet foods.
1g fat = 9 cal
1g sugar = 4 cal
No need to slam soda, cakes and sweets.

The body doesn't actually need an insulin response to store dietary fat. I can show you a relevant study if you want.
I realize that. But the amount the body can pack on with an insulin spike is considerably more. The ingested fat is only in the blood stream for a finite window of time. Insulin triggers the fat cells to open up and store more during that window.
Your body doesn't need an insulin spike to accept protein. But bodybuilders that shoot insulin before their post-workout meal store an astronomical more amount of protein into their muscle cells and get unnaturally massive.

I grew up working the buffet at a Ponderosa and a Golden Corral. The stuff I witnessed daily blew my mind. I took out a pan of garlic bread to the buffet and a lady stopped me and put the entire pan on her plate. No joke, 12 pieces of garlic bread.
Fatties would line up and stand at the buffet 5-10 min for the next batch of fried chicken wings, angrily staring down your every move around the fryer and would then fight over them like animals when you dumped them. It was so hard not to look at the buffet as a trough.
After their giant meals, you'd see women take 3-4 trips to the ice cream machine. There would be some tables during the lunch shift that would stay 2-3 hrs, endlessly eating.

Interesting thing I discovered. I pulled up my wife's 14 year old myspace account and her interests are: running, kayaking, hikes, gallery hops, Lost, taking my puppies to the park
Her Facebook page since she's gotten fat: Dark Thrillers and Sci-fi, Black Mirror, Indian food, Stranger Things, local IPA's, Buffalo Wings, Chipotle, movie nights with the kiddos

That's one of main reasons I think the Curvage forums have become so much more active than this site. A lot more bells and whistles to 'like', give trophies and respond to posts. Such a more social experience; particularly their messaging platforms. Every person I've met here always says "You on Curvage? Let's chat over there."
