Hotdish!!

Was chatting with a fellow former Midwesterner last night, asking me about my favorite foods, and realized just how much I love and miss hotdish... I usually make it every Thanksgiving for a taste of home, but realized just perfect of an FA/stuffing extravaganza it is and that I basically never hear it discussed! I should probably make some soon. Mmm.

For the uninitiated (includes a short documentary!): Everything You Need to Know About Hotdish

Tips for padding with water?

Someone needs to get on designing bodysuits that can do this. There are the blueberry suits that inflate; some cheap and some really nice, now if they can construct some with bladders imagine what that would feel like!

It may be worth pursuing looking into fake pregnancy bellies. Some are body-suit style where you can insert what you need (e.g. watertight bladders) and others are silicone - they're meant to be dense and heavy to mimic that it feels like to carry a fetus and be more realistic looking. They're obviously more expensive but are single-purchase and won't ruin your carpet smiley

Stalkers

potbellyoffinland:
Well I like to be optimistic. Sadly this is after all the more likely option.

Unfortunately that kind of optimism is what gets victims trafficked or killed. The data on stalker behavior says otherwise. It's never just once, whether it's the same target or multiple. They do it over and over.

Stalkers

The thing might also be that this was only a one time occurrence. Who really knows??

It's definitely not. Dude backed off because he got caught. Promise if he's started something like that once, he will absolutely do it again, and just be "better" at it.

Stalkers

The biggest problem with stalking or similar behavior is that there is no sense of boundary and in a sick way, the stalker knows it. So even if you assert it, they are not going to respect it. Anyone who sees a boundary as a challenge is a threat. Anyone. If they don't respect the little ones, they are not going to respect the big ones. And that's worse with stalkers because if you set one of those: "Stop following me," or "leave me alone" guess what that makes them do? The opposite.

Stalking starts with little things like that that a target may not even notice. With the exception of street randos, once you get to the "visibly following" stage they've done a lot more work than the target knows.

The Gift of Fear by Gavin de Becker is one of those books that should be mandatory reading, especially for those extra-susceptible to stalking.

Fetish origination

Of course, there is no doubt that THE blueberry scene has been foundational for many, myself included. I started off exploring that - inflation, berrying, expansion - and still remember the first story I found of it (not my favorite but still holds a special place in my heart! thanks google 20 years ago!)

But another one that really sticks out for me is an old Felix the Cat episode with the king - in fact in the episode they *de*flate him but I remember being confused as a kid thinking they were supposed to do it the other way around. I could not have been older than 5.

And lastly, how exploring all that brought me to feedism was Satine-Doom's stories on DeviantArt. Wow, she was fantastic. I still think of her tales often. Completely changed it. I had no interest in feeding or gaining until her work crossed my path, and I never looked back!

Panic attack about kink

welcome to the life of what I think honestly MOST of us feedees are! In my opinion - most of us aren't gaining. Anyone who tells you that you must somehow be involved with gaining - whether giving or receiving - in order to be "in" in the community are gatekeeping ***s and dead wrong.

If you read my profile, I've outlined it like this: the kink is foreplay and sometimes fun for me. It's not a lifestyle. That's not a dis for those to whom it is a lifestyle. Maybe you are just discovering it is not your lifestyle, but just for fun or foreplay.

Feedism does not mean limitless or immobility for everyone. If you still enjoy feedism, you are still a feedist and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. You get to decide that on your terms.

It's not an absolute or black and white. You can stop and go as you please or re-evaluate whenever you want. If you want to pause and lose now, that's cool. If you want to pause and gain later, that's cool. If you just need a breather to figure that out, that's cool too.

Sounds to me like you just hit a limit for awhile. Sit with it and see how you feel and don't make any rush decisions.

Maternity clothes

I had an acquaintance in college who did this. She just had a round belly. She loved showing off her dresses that she'd wear for performances (vocal major). I suppose it's different because she bought them for herself and didn't realize it was maternity until she tried it on and saw she wasn't dealing with the same issues she normally would with clothes. She mostly just bought it for dresses, not casual everyday stuff.

I've personally never done it because that's not the cut that would work for my shape but I have heard of some women choosing to either buy a few maternity outfits for the comfort or continue wearing after they'd given birth. I don't think any woman who truly understood how poorly womens clothes are cut for most bodies would begrudge it and sometimes it's just the best option.

edit for frogetting some important words lol

At what point do you reach the point of no return?

loradayton:
That's a whole lot of words to say "I have literally no idea how bodies and metabolism work especially for people who menstruate."

John Smith:
Please House M.D. , enlighten us with your gynecological expertise.

I mean someone already asked you to prove your methods and you spouted off crap like normal that literally doesn't make sense. You don't "gain" water weight, it's the retention of fluids from dehydration. healthline.com/health/womens-health/weight-gain-during-period#:~:text=It's%20normal%20to%20gain%20about,skipping%20workouts%20due%20to%20cramps. According to actual doctors, most people only gain a few pounds during periods (and I am someone who has had them at many different weights, and it definitely rings true).

Additionally, the menstrual part of the cycle means your body is actually working harder than normal. The cramps and bleeding and all that fun stuff? That's your body working. ALSO, our metabolism can withstand several thousand extra calories in a week or so without any impact to a person's weight (composition can be affected but weight likely will not). It's a feast/famine function our metabolisms have for our own survival. https://www.runnersworld.com/news/a27405541/how-much-weight-can-you-gain-in-a-week/#:~:text=Eating%201%2C000%20extra%20calories%20a,as%20increases%20in%20blood%20sugar.

It is only, and I mean only, consistent calorie surplus over an extended period of time that causes that kind of gain.

Someone who peaks at 160 is never, ever going to put on up to forty pounds *in two weeks* because of that.

The only way, ever, that could happen, would be if the person was life-threateningly ill, dealing with therapies like painkillers, steroids, and dialysis.

Also: am a menstruating uterus-haver and have been doing so for over 20 years at weights ranging from over 285lbs to 150. You are full of it and you know it. Your ridiculous and insecure relentless pontificating will never change that fact. Good day.
