Weight gain shakes, any tips?

Having tried the powder, my honest opinion is that it just doesn’t hold up to shakes made entirely out of liquid, unfortunately.

If you’re just wanting to get fat, there’s really no beating heavy cream, and if you mix it about 50/50 with chocolate milk it’ll be easy to drink and not taste bad.

If you’re wanting to gain muscle along with fat or if you’re trying to make up for a dietary deficiency, pre-made protein or meal replacement shakes like Boost or Ensure are still much easier to drink and tastier than the clumpy gross shakes I’ve always ended up with from weight gain powder. But, maybe the powder is more cost effective?

Does gaining make you hungrier?

Absolutely, my perception of what is a satisfying amount of food vs not enough has totally changed. Now, since I started out so underweight, for me that’s more of a “3 bites per meal -> normal sized meal” change, but I’ve seen many gainers on here post that 2000+ calorie meals have just become the norm for them. I hope I get there someday.

Why do you want to get fat?

I love the texture and feeling of fat, which is mainly why I still want to gain and get really fat even now that I’ve got up to a healthy weight. It’s great watching the number on the scale go up, too.

From a practical standpoint, being heavier gives me more of a buffer so that a relapse (either of my SED or of my stomach problems) causing me to lose a lot of weight won’t be such a big deal, and will be a nuisance rather than a medical emergency.

Anyone else with this fetish struggle with an eating disorder?

It’s not what people traditionally think of when you say “eating disorder” since it hasn’t got anything to do with body image, but I have SED (selective eating disorder), which is an eating disorder based around basically hating food: the texture, the taste, the act of eating, etc. Probably about 90% of foods, I can’t tolerate, and when it was at its worst, that figure was more like 99%, and a lot of days I couldn’t handle any food at all. Even now, if I try to eat something that isn’t a safe food for me, or if my food doesn’t taste exactly like I expect it to, it gives me panic attacks and violent nausea that last for hours.

It’s actually the main reason I got into feederism in the first place. When I was in my late teens, I nearly starved to death, and I was told I’d be institutionalized if I didn’t gain weight very soon. I was searching online for anything related to weight gain, and found feederism. I honestly wasn’t that into it at first, but thought if I could get into it sexually that would give me pretty good push to gain some weight, so I sort of brute forced it. I was right, it has helped a lot. My diet is still very restricted and unbalanced but most days I can manage to eat enough to maintain my weight, and when I put the work in I can usually gain some. I’ve been in the healthy weight range for my height for at least a couple years now after being severely underweight my whole life before that! On occasion I can even enjoy eating, but it is usually still a chore for me.

Feedee hypnosis

Seconding Enchantress. I also really like Lady Harleen (my personal favorite) and Silver Hypnosis. They are all three on YouTube. If you are willing to go to a different site than YouTube, Vive Hypnosis has a couple feedee hypnosis files, “The Hunger” is his best one in my opinion.

Worth an honorable mention is Jacqueline Powers, also on YouTube. She doesn’t do weight gain stuff, but she has a lot of very good hypnosis files about increasing your susceptibility to hypnosis in general, which can be useful to put in a playlist in front of feedee hypnosis videos.

Increasing one's appetite

If you can get into the swing of eating a lot regularly, your appetite will naturally increase, but that can be very hard to do with ill health and a low starting appetite (speaking from experience).

One thing I like to get the ball rolling is the feedee hypnosis videos on YouTube, I don’t know how much stock I put in the actual hypnosis aspect but what they ARE very good for is that they are super hot and being turned on helps with motivation to push myself to eat more, and even though that’s not exactly the same as being hungry it still helps a lot.

I personally find that small (not huge) cream shakes at night DO increase my appetite during the day, but not until I’ve had them on a daily basis for about a week straight. Before that period of adjustment is up they make it harder to eat.

Recently I’ve found that baked goods with a lot of anise seem to help with appetite too. At first I thought it was just because I liked them, and it may be partly that, but apparently there is a history of using it as an appetite stimulant.

Daily "i'm fat" reminders

Today I wore a pencil skirt I haven’t worn in a while, and although it was OK in the morning, I had to unzip the skirt to drive home because it started to tear in the back when I sat down in the car 😵 I don’t know if it was just how I was sitting or what, since it had been fine earlier in the day, but I weighed when I got home and I am somehow up about 6 pounds since I last wore the skirt, even though I wasn’t trying to gain. I’m definitely not complaining, but it was quite a shock since it’s rare for me to gain without a sustained effort and I’ve been at a plateau for a while to boot.

Stuffing with a sensitive stomach?

Depends what you want out of the stuffing. If you’re mostly looking to gain weight that will stay long term or to gain over a long period of time, or just to enjoy food, low and slow is definitely the way to do it with a sensitive stomach.

If the totally stuffed feeling itself, which is pretty much impossible to achieve without stomach upset in my experience, is what you’re after, or if you’re okay with short bursts of gaining followed by losing weight or plateauing, chugging a liquid like cream or a gainer shake after a normal to large-ish meal works as long as you figure out where your “this will make me actually throw up” line is and don’t cross it. It will cause you an upset stomach for sure but by chugging you can get stuffed fast enough that the upset stomach is a consequence rather than an obstacle.

Urges to fatten

I used to always lose tons of weight in between gaining cycles without meaning to. It was actually very frustrating but in combination with the fact that gaining takes a lot of work for me that isn’t sustainable for more than a few weeks, it meant that no matter how much I gained at any particular point, there was no serious possibility of getting actually fat or even chubby. The urges were there but couldn’t be fulfilled.

Nowadays, though, I don’t lose more than 5 pounds, and that 5 pounds yo-yos up and down whether I mean for it to or not. I’m still somewhat skinny, but I feel like I’m on a precipice, albeit one with a big annoying brick wall in front of it that I need to figure out how to smash through (lately, trying to gain past the upper end of my fluctuating 5 pounds makes me relentlessly sick to my stomach and I can’t continue). I think that if I figure out how to avoid becoming ill during gaining cycles, it will be a dramatic plunge into fatness.

As it stands, I sometimes think I should stop where I am, because I’ve already got a jiggly belly to play with and I have a lot of clothes I just barely fit in that it would be a shame to not be able to wear anymore. However, the only thing that inspires me to try again to break through that barrier more than briefly entertaining the idea of giving up is realizing my weight went up a little without trying. I’m pretty sure I’ll always be as fat as I’m capable of being from now on. I just wish that capability would hurry up and increase.

Psych meds

Ursula:
I drank antipsychotics and antidepressants, and I still drink. Indeed, many of them increase weight, especially neuroptics
Specifically respiridon, triftazine, olanzapine and clozapine(I live in Russia, so the trade names may be different)
You can gain up to 20 kg per month and so on

MottiF:
Holly molly! That’s sick! Why gaining weight with meds intentionally? Better eat fattening foods!

VisibleBellyOutline:
Just to clarify: I completely disapprove of using meds to gain (or lose) weight. I was merely observing that for the brief time I was prescribed Mirtazapine, I did notice some quite dramatic weight gain.

Glitter Jelly:
Yes, I'd say the top 3 medications that will make you gain weight are: Mirtazapine, Olanzapine and Depo-Provera.

Depo-Provera for sure makes you blow up. I was on it for its intended purpose for a while and although I had to change to a different birth control due to other side effects, I gained more weight on Depo without putting in effort than I usually do trying my hardest during gaining cycles. I wish I could get back on it again, especially because I also preferred it over my current birth control for several other reasons, but sadly it takes such a bite out of your bone density that I can’t get back on it safely and probably won’t be able to for many more years, if ever. If you ever take it, be sure to keep up with your DEXA scans to be sure your bones are OK.
