So, since 27 January 2023 I have put on 72 lbs. I have noticed a significant change in my sex drive through this process.
First, let me explain the method.
This very rapid growth is the result of regaining. I have basically eaten as much as possible at every opportunity, I’m averaging 9,000-10,000 cal per day.
I have also largely abstained from orgasm during that period. I have masturbated to orgasm probably 3 times since 27 January, and not once in the last fortnight.
This is a notable change. For most of my adult life I have been content with one orgasm per day. Sex with another person has come in on top of that — my basic needs have been stable.
I have essentially been using the pent-up horniness to drive more gorging. It has worked very, very well, and at first, I was overeating whilst extremely erect, often whilst edging without permitting release.
As time has gone on, though, my erections have become less frequent, though I am still highly aroused, and I’m losing interest in my cock as a source of pleasure.
Today, for instance, after a 3,000 cal breakfast, a 2,000 cal top up breakfast, a 2,500 cal lunch, and then a 3,000 cal second lunch, I looked down at my semi-erect cock, and thought, “I could masturbate… or I could have a short nap and eat more”. I chose the latter.
In short, I’m finding profound sexual gratification in overfeeding myself stupid amounts of food, and in fattening up rapidly — gratification that is more satisfying than the “normal” method.
Does anyone have any experience in this sort of shift in sex-drive?

Having spoken to a lot of men on this site, it's fairly normal around here. Even more so if you are rapidly gaining weight and are over stuffing yourself every day. Plus, it seems you're inadvertantly training your brain to see food as a source of sexual pleasure over orgasms.
I will say be careful. The longest time I've stuffed my partner was a month. During that time, he'd eat around 10k calories or more. Gained about 20 lbs and had some indigestion to go along with it. Poor guy barely ate the first few days after we stopped
The body needs a break to rest and recover. You can inadvertently mess up your internals from constantly eating and stretching your body to the max every day.

I recommend the step-down method. This works best with my partner when we've gone balls-to-the-walls insane with stuffing him.
The first week, you shouldn't stuff yourself. Only eat until you are comfortable full. Then, for the next few weeks, go easy on the snacks and reign in your portion sizes. Nothing drastic. Just a gentle tapering. You'll still gain weight during this time, but your body will have a chance to recover.
Also, if you aren't doing it already, make sure you take care of your knees.
