When I sat down after my shower today in a big sleep shirt and my underwear after tempting to tuck my belly in it, the elastic popped. Guess I'm bigger than an 7XL!!

That is impressively wide. Are you going to keep on the gain train, or are you still trying to slow down?
Definitely slowing down now, just because I think I've hit a point where daily obstacles are rapidly feeling more pronounced. Given that I'm not super tall, I think another 100 pounds would strand me at home entirely, and I'm not ready for that.

I'm 29 now, but I hit 250 the summer before 8th grade and 325 in 10th grade. I was too fat for the regular one-piece classroom desks and had to sit at a folding table instead. I also hated PE, because running was a required activity, and I've never been a fast runner. I was still agile enough for marching band though.

Has anyone come up with a solution to sleeve length being to long on larger size clothing? Has any one brought shirts to a tailor?
I also have the same issue as a 500 pound woman who is only 5'3", both with sleeve length and hemline.
There are a few women's retailers out there who custom make clothing if you send your measurements. Of course, they're a tad pricey, but I find it's a good investment for a few nicer items. I'm sure men might have similar options.
For other items, like casual dresses, I fork over for a tailor. I have a place I use regularly, and the tailor pretty much charges a flat rate regardless of what I bring in.
For casual items, like sweatshirts, I just deal with it. I also end up opting for short sleeve tops often, because I do overheat very easily.

Awesome both of you!
Thank you! 😊 Thrilled with the results. The challenge is adjusting to maintenance calories, since I've been enjoying myself so much!

I use a My Weigh talking XI 700, and I think I get pretty consistent readings that also correspond with other indicators of gain, like measurement and tightness in clothing. Mine came from Amazon and was less than $100 (US).

15 pounds since I last posted in this thread 2 weeks ago, and my belly has a major tightness about it. My final gaining spurt also took me past the 500 mark. I truly couldn't be more pleased.

I'm up to 500+ now, so I've been at both points in between. I was in the 300 range for quite some time, and I still felt quite physically active at that size. I could walk briskly, and I looked like a "regular fat girl". Around 350, I start looking very "round", and by 400, I'm the fattest person most people encounter as they go about their day. I also carry a lot of belly fat, and that's the size at which I outgrew mainstream retail clothing. I found I was tiring out more easily too, and I needed a c-Pap, a grocery store scooter to shop and an accessible parking spot tag, both because of mobility and to open my door as wide as possible to get in and out.
The more dramatic difference though, occurred as I approached 500, outgrowing my car driver's seat, my shower stall (had to replace the glass door with a curtain), and most grocery store scooters. I'm also no longer able to put my arms around my body to reach my belly button. I like this size for me, and I plan to maintain, but I can certainly see why it wouldn't be for everyone.

Not always! I have big boobs objectively speaking, but that's because I'm super obese. In comparison to my belly though, I'm practically flat chested. I have 33 more inches of belly than bust currently. When I was briefly 190-ish pounds, I only wore a 36A bra, but my waist was still 40 inches.
