The point of no return?

Repeated studies show that approx 95% of people who lose weight regain it by five years afterward.

Any other practice with such a complete long-term failure rate would not be recommended by sane people for anyone for any reason.

Accidental gainer

Hi, hon,

It would be helpful to know slightly more specific questions. Are you asking where to find great clothes? How to bring up your gain with your friends?

The journey you're on is great fun, but you're right, there's stuff to think about and get used to.

You'll get lots of great recommendations about clothes. As for your friends, I've always been fat, so I didn't have the same problem you're facing, but I found it easier to make gentle jokes about my appetite and softness, so that people know I enjoy it without making a huge deal of it.

Welcome to gaining, btw!!

*knocking up* fetish?

I have lactating fantasies, too, as well as wanting to make love to someone lactating, both male and female. (OK, I'm kinky. Really, that's news?)

I don't know if it's true of others, though I've read that it is, but when I was pregnant, I couldn't get enough sex. Hormones, increased blood volume, etc. But for all y'all who are looking forward to this event, just know it's quite likely to be a fun time if your relationship is good!

Support group of another kind

Well, as someone who gained 40 lbs in 3 months, then lost a little unintentionally, then has gotten fatter without gaining much, I'd say you can't predict so easily.

But I think people would be much more sympathetic to this idea--how to control a bit the gaining process, etc, than most posters have given credit. I haven't seen a complaint, unless I missed something. smiley

Shaving down there?? help...i think...lol?

My one other thought on this is that it may be really different depending on the texture of your hair. I have a lot of body hair and it's thicker than on many other women. I can totally relate to FrieswiththatShake's experience of needle-y razor-y things.

I know lots of people like it, and that's cool, but I hated it.

And finally--I'm sure we've all heard of the pubic version of this ink, but here is a head version for you amusement:

Vegetarian

I was a veg for some years in my twenties, though I can't imagine giving up dairy, ever. I *can* imagine insisting that things are free-range and organic, and when I can afford it, I do, and often just don't have it if the right stuff isn't available. I think you can eat animal products and still be thoughtful to animals.

I ended up believing that killing is killing, and it is in the very nature of life to require death. In other words, I don't feel less of an ethical question about killing plants than animals, just less of an emotional tie to them. I try, in a kind of personal, slightly-pagan-based, sort of way to be thoughtful about the lives that are given to my sustenance, and I try not to waste them in any way if I can help it. (And yes, that means I know how to cook with leftovers.)

Overhang and love handles....

I feel soooooo sorry for really big guys. I switched over to elastic waist jeans etc many pounds ago, and I am rarely uncomfortable in that way. Well, except when I eat a lot when I'm out...
