What size and weight is a bbw?

I actually did a study of this on Feabie, since women on there not only post their BMI but can categorize themselves as BBW or not. If you have a Feabie account you can see this:

www.feabie.com/Photo/Details/e908fab9-592d-462b-a5ec-67a0751c3eb1

Note that 50% of women consider themselves BBWs if they're at 29 BMI or up. 29 BMI is just below 30 BMI, which is considered "obese".

After 40 BMI pretty 90% to 95% of them consider themselves BBWs.

The wall test gallery

AskDrFeeder:
I created the Wall Test ( askdrfeeder.dyndns.org/walltest.html ) some years ago as a fun test to gauge one's gaining progress. I recently added the Wall Test Gallery ( askdrfeeder.dyndns.org/walltest.html ) with pics of people trying it. Check it out!

Also send me pics of yourself taking the test if you'd like.

TheBloatedOne:
Trying it- I'm either in progress or I passed but I can't tell~

Really? It seems like it would be pretty obvious. If you touch your toes to the wall and immediately start falling backwards, you pass! If you can't touch your toes to the wall at all, you also pass.

Female here - success in gaining!

Still pretty set on topping out on 330? I'm just curious because many people bump up their goal when they get near it.

Gaining styles -- am i missing any?

Trying to categorize the different ways of gaining weight. They are not mutually exclusive.

1. Accidental Gain -- where you don't intend to eat more or gain weight...it just happens, often due to a lifestyle change: leaving home, going back home, quitting sports, getting a new job, etc.

2. Experimental Gain -- when you gain weight to see if you like it.

3. Feeder-driven -- when you gain weight to please your feeder and let the feeder call the shots.

4. Gluttony-driven -- when you gain weight because you love to eat; maybe you don't want to gain but can't or don't want to cut back on the goodies.

5. Stuffing-driven -- Like (4) except the main attraction is not eating so much as getting really stuffed.

6. Weight-driven -- you gain because you want to be bigger.

7. Capacity-driven -- you gain because you want to be able to eat more.

8. Goal-driven -- you have a specific goal in mind, a weight goal, a level-of-functionality goal (e.g. "Too big to walk"smiley or morphological goal ("Big enough to pass the Wall Test"smiley.

9. Limited -- You want to gain or at least not diet until you hit a certain limit.

10. Erotic -- gaining or stuffing or overeating turns you on and you gain in consequence.

11. Anything else?

Of course, these styles can happen in conjunction or serially. E.g. 1,10+4+6 would mean you gained accidentally then realized you liked overeating and found gaining to be erotic and decided to let yourself go. 3,4 would mean a feeder started you out and now you don't want to stop overeating. 2+10 is if you want to gain a certain amount to see if you like it. 2+10, 4+5+6+7+10 means you gained experimentally, found you love everything about it and have completely let yourself go.

Accidentally got way too fat

Darlene Cates (who was in the movie "What's Eating Gilbert Grape?"smiley was large but still could get around fine and had no serious problems with it. Then she broke her ankle and was bedridden for a few months. She gained more weight as a result and even after her ankle healed was barely able to walk. She was not happy about that so I would call that "too fat". Of course maybe it helped her get that movie role, so there might have been some upside!

My parents

ThePotbelliedAuthor:
I go to visit my parents alot because I live near them. They are nice except when they complain/joke that I am getting too fat. How do I get around this and keep being a gainer?

I did help one woman with this problem: askdrfeeder.dyndns.org/letters.html#Amanda

Is liking your own weight gain innate, or can it be influences by external factors?

I had thoughts about feedism early in life, but many don't. E.g. Cherries on Big Cuties. She gained ten pounds to please her boyfriend and to her surprise, really liked it. She ended up gaining a lot more.

I think feedism is a latent thing that can be awakened by experience. Some will never be into it whatever happens. But it may lie dormant in others, just waiting for the right occasion to become active.

The most common way this happens is the "accidental gain" scenario. Someone starts college, or quits sports, or gets a sedentary desk job, gains weight without meaning to, and suddenly realize they like it. Or perhaps it happens to their partner and they suddenly realize they like seeing gains in others.

But anyway, the feeder-initiated scenario, which is what happened to Cherries, is also pretty prevalent.

How do you know you're a glutton?

AskDrFeeder:
Surely if you can sincerely recite the Glutton's Pledge you're one...but that's raising the bar pretty high. What are the minimal criteria?

littlejohnboy:
What is the Glutton's Pledge? smiley

AskDrFeeder:
Oops, sorry! askdrfeeder.dyndns.org/pledge.html

littlejohnboy:
I like it! Thanks!

May I copy and paste it here?

Okay, but only if you add the link to your profile! smiley
