This is a recipe for a simple glaze you can use to add an easy calorie boost and improved flavor to baked goods. You could try putting it on other things too, but it might taste bad if you put it on something unorthodox.
1 part whole milk
9 parts powdered sugar
Whisk them together with a whisk in the smallest bowl they’ll fit in without spilling and quickly coat whatever you want glazed before it can harden.
Let the glazed food dry for 20 minutes minimum, but the longer the better.
You have to use the glaze right away or it hardens in the bowl, so make sure you don’t leave it sitting out in a bowl, wash the bowl quickly when you’re done.
It’s really simple but it’s so delicious. I made some gingerbread cookies and tried it on them, and while I’d usually only eat a couple of these cookies a day because they’re not my favorite, with the glaze I was able to eat the whole batch in under a week.
I’d like to try making it with heavy cream instead of milk sometime and see if it still works well, but I haven’t tried it yet. If anyone else tries it, let me know how it goes. I suspect it might be a good idea to use more cream than you would milk to get the right consistency, since cream is thicker, maybe changing the ratio to 1:8 would work.
Fatmanrocker:
would this work with heavy cream?
As I said in the post, I haven’t tried it with heavy cream yet, but I think it would work. You just might need to use more heavy cream than you would milk, since heavy cream is thicker.

My gender is kind of whatever and I haven’t really got a label for it, but I have had a similar experience. I used to be very dysphoric about my chest, but since gaining weight I enjoy my big chest. I feel the same about my thighs and hips, though. Probably my ideal transition would be to gain a lot of weight and THEN go on HRT so I’d keep my current fat distribution but bigger, but also get all the other masculinizing effects of HRT.

I don’t know about the OTC ones you have listed, but I want to say on the general topic: don’t get prescription strength appetite stimulants unless you actually have a medical need for them because the side effects can be brutal. Having battled an eating disorder, I’ve been on both Periactin and Megace before at different times. They work very well, at least at first (I found they lost effectiveness over time) but they are only worth it when the alternative is eating so little it’s dangerous because they can really mess with your mood, energy levels, and general health.

I tried them a few years ago and found the texture and flavor completely disgusting, far worse than even straight heavy cream, and they’re also expensive. If you can put up with all that, they would probably put some pounds on you. Still, unless you’re hoping to do a dirty bulk type gain and build some muscle on top of getting fat, in which case the protein in the mass gainer would help you, you’re probably better off just eating a lot and/or using heavy cream.

I don’t know if it works by slowing metabolism or some other way, but I have a very fast metabolism too and the only thing that’s ever worked for me to gain weight and actually keep it on is 2 to 4 week periods of both daily stuffing and heavy cream. It’s usually very difficult for me and it’s hit or miss whether my guts put up with that long enough to see any results, but if I can push through and stick with it, my body’s set weight always seems to go up by a few pounds even if I go back to barely eating afterwards. Typically when I do that sort of cycle, I’ll gain 10-20 pounds and lose half of it afterwards, so it’s nothing too dramatic in the end… but if you struggle with gaining as much as I tend to, even that feels like a big victory.

Wow I am really sorry to hear this actually, can't imagine what it is like to have this gaining mindset and have it be torn down by your own body burning the fat.
Thanks, it’s a pain in the ass. Really, though, it isn’t losing the weight afterwards that bothers me so much as how hard it is to gain in the first place 😭 While I’d be happy to be heavier long-term, feeling myself growing bigger is what I enjoy the most, so having to do it all over again isn’t a big problem. Hitting an “eating more than 200 calories at a time is going to make you sick now” wall before I even manage to gain anything is what I really hate, but luckily it doesn’t happen EVERY time. It’s taken about 7 years, but I have managed to get my body’s set weight up from 90 pounds to 130 pounds.

I don’t tend to enjoy eating, plus eating even a normal amount usually makes me feel sick afterwards which I don’t like, so when I’m trying to gain I have to lean very heavily on being turned on by the idea of gaining to stay motivated. Belly rubs, keeping close track of body changes, and weight gain encouragement audio all help me.

Thought some people here might be interested in these findings. Unfortunately, the article is written in a very fat-negative way, though.
www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2023/05/230517121529.htmBasically, it’s been found that a chemical usually released when people are hungry, NPY, is both released and absorbed more by fat people. There are special neurons in people who gain a lot of weight that release tons of it and also stimulate other cells to make more receptors for it, causing fat people to become even more sensitive to hunger.

I’d love to be able to grab a handful of fat off my body, big enough to fill both hands, without having to pull or stretch my skin to do it.
