How old is too old?

I'm old, mid-sixties and I'm a causal gainer. I did weight until I was older for several reasons, some mentioned here already. My main reason was retiring from the military reserves. The military has fairly strict weight and appearance standards, which held me back for many years. Once I retired, seven years ago, I have been gaining, slowly, but steadily gaining.

Grandma is a feeeer

I honestly think my grandma is a feeder. I have been living with her for the past few months and she keeps making comments saying “You need to eat more” which is what every grandmother says. But recently she’s been saying stuff like “I don’t want you to be small, you need to grow” and etc. Like I feel as though she wants me to be “fat”. She also says things like every month you need to size up in clothes. Every time I’m having food and I leave the the table she will ask me to open my mouth to see if I’m full or not because apparently u can tell if someone’s by seeing if food is at the top of there throat lmao. Anyways I know this seems like a stretch and a lot of people will not believe what I am saying is true. So if u have any some advice / feedback let me know by either replying or private message!


I would go with the flow. If she's encouraging you to eat, then eat, especially if you want to gain anyway, why not. I like that you are using my drawing as your avatar.

Turning your feeder side on yourself

I have been a subtle encourager of my wife's gaining for years. I had to stay in decent shape for the military reserves, which I retired from six years ago. I have been slowly but steadily gaining since. I'm about forty pounds overweight now and fifteen to twenty pounds heavier than when I retired. I promised myself not to deliberately gain during lent, which is almost over, but I have gained during the lock down. My wife has been indulging too.

Intentional gaining philosophies

I'm a Number 2. I hit a spot and try to maintain that weight. Then I start to gain to the next threshold. I've gone from 215 lbs. to 220 lbs. and now trying to maintain 225 lbs. Having trouble keeping my weight at 225 lbs. Next stage/level will be back up to 230 lbs.

Mine is to reach 220 pounds in 2020. I’m currently 165 pounds. Not sure if that’s super ambitious or not? Anyways typically I gain weight pretty easily so I think I can do it.

That's 55 pounds, which is a full third of your current weight.

It's ambitious, though not unheard of. You're also a few inches taller than the average man, which will help.

You hear about insane cases of some who could double their weight in a year, or more but those are unreasonable goals. That's not really possible unless you can literally sit down and overeat all day, every day and have a practically unlimited source of funds for not just food, but clothes too. I'm assuming that you, like most of us are functional members of society that have to go to work. Hopefully it's a job where you can snack, but some jobs aren't like that.

Wow, I'm super impressed by your gain, that is truly amazing. I'm trying to get back to my highest weight 231 lbs. I'm down around 224 lbs. right now. I feel kind of wimpy compared to your growth/gain, good luck!

Best clothes for support

I try to use lighter padding, when I pad. It stays in place better and face it, you're not going to be weighed while your padded. The last time I padded in public I did have trouble with my padding slipping down, but I was sitting quite a bit and which caused it to shift. Use pillow stuffing and the fiber stuff sold for stuffed animals and throw pillows works well.

I usually stuff myself with breakfast style foods, donuts, pastries, pancakes, waffles and syrup. I can easily pack in 2500 to 3000 calories in one sitting. Also use sweetened juices, lattes, coffee with cream and sugar, adds calories.

Fastest way to get fat fast

I have been gaining actively for a while and overeating is the best weigh to gain. Eat more are every meal, between meals and before bed.

Pushers vs. letting goers

Pusher. I don't have a really strong appetite and I tend to just stop eating even though I'm not full yet. I really have to work at my binges to keep gaining.
