Vehicle modifications

Heather, do you mind saying how expensive the scooter and mount were? I'm looking at scooters, and even at 250 lbs, the ones that'll take me are crazy expensive...

Same sex marriage.

I felt really privileged to be at one of the San Francisco weddings.

Dee's right--everyone needs to be on their toes in 2010 to keep as much of the Democratic majority as possible.

Importance of 'cooking' in a feeder/feedee relationship..

There was some discussion at some point of making an FF cookbook. Can't remember why it fizzled out...

Fat future

I think there are two separate issues here:

1. The world is getting fatter. Will that continue? until all people are fat?

2. Would you like to live in a world were everyone, or nearly everyone, was fat?

Most people responded to the second question, which is plenty interesting, but I thought the OP was making the former point. smiley

Confessions pt. 2

I think I must be the most passive feeder ever. I don't want a feedee, I want a foodee who will eat and eat without really noticing the weight he puts on until it's too late and he embarrasses himself in public (the idea of ruining a pair of pants is hot).

I don't understand people who strive to gain weight, and confident fat people make me roll my eyes in derision.

How on earth can you enjoy the idea of someone gaining and deride fat people? Perhaps it's some humiliation thing for you, but to me, and I suspect to many of us, that's just plain insulting.

Goals

*WARNING: Buzzkill ahead.*

I was just looking at mobility scooters for myself, due to my MS and fibromyalgia. I'm not immobile, but I could really use a scooter. Small people with disabilities? No sweat. You can buy scooters starting around £300. 18st + (252 lbs, 115 kgs), like me? 10 times as expensive. Literally. £2-3K.

A toilet that washes you when you're done? Another £2000. Bed and bath transfer systems, or a shower trolley? Keep adding. And on and on and on. Never mind aides if you don't get them from national health or your insurance.

Immobility is expensive. Time consuming. Boring. Lonely. Our fantasies are one thing, but the reality ought to be a whole other thought process. *Buzzkill out.*
