Feedees: have your goals changed?

Usually feedees increase their goal weight as they gain. If you've experienced this, which of the following art trure?

1. You find, contrary to your expectations, that being bigger is no problem.
2. You find there are problems with being bigger but they're not as bad as you feared.
3. You enjoy gaining more than you thought you would.
4. You enjoy being bigger more than you thought you would.
5. Your goal has increased just from hanging out with feedists (on-line or irl).
6. Anything else?

Gaining with soft limits

Now I think of it it might be better to phrase a "soft limit" as simply a goal and a limit, with the rule that your limit has to be at least 5 pounds more than your goal!

How many feedees are out?

For feedees who have gained:

1. Do friends know you've done it on purpose?

2. Do sibilings know?

3. Parents?

Gaining with soft limits

johnxyz:
There are too many things going on to say you can stop at a specific point. Once you get into the habit of eating what you want, it's hard to stop. Your body gets into a routine, and expects the same thing every day. Once you stop, your body thinks there is a famine, and will start to store more of your food as fat. Your brain will tell you to eat more.

Interesting...so you're saying limits NEVER work?

Fat-dar

Nice super-power there.

Even better would be a way to detect latent feedees--people who might not even know they have this tendency until they meet someone who introduces them to feedism and encourages them to gain.

Gaining with soft limits

A lot of feedees want to gain but need to observe some kind of limit, for work, personal, or health reasons.

The trouble with limits is it can be really hard not to go past them. Going past the limit is bad, because it may undermine your confidence that you can gain in a controlled way--maybe even so much that you fail to ever control it.

I just talked to a woman who is gaining with a “soft” limit...she can stop anywhere between 190 pounds and 220. This gives her plenty of slack in case she hits 190 and can’t stop on a dime.

Has anyone ever tried this?

How did it work out?

At what weight do you become too fat to do things

Yes, it varies with the individual, but I think things usually become harder gradually. Like at first you'll find stairs take more of an effort, then you get winded after two flights of stairs, then you get winded after one flight of stairs, then you have to rest half-way up the stairs...

I think you should keep watch on the things you care about being able to do and re-evaluate your goals as they start becoming harder.
