FF Team:
Going to pop this in the feedback and suggestions forum.
I think its a great idea and hopefully this is something we may be able to add to the story searches.
Thanks you for the suggestion!

Great! Thanks for responding. It would also be great to search only for "premium stories". Or maybe there is already a way to do that?
There isn't a way to currently search for 'Premium Only'.
We are doing some updates to the story section at the moment with the new categories.
The new search function will go live as of the 1st October 2021 to allow members to search by the new story categories and tags we have created. Were leaving it a month to update the search to give authors a chance to update their stories with the categories so they will appear in the results when members use the new search form.
Once this is done we can hopefully do some rejigging of the stories page to better reflect the new categories and display story genres, tags and categories, and we my be able to add a premium sub listing too!
Thanks again for your suggestion!

Xocolatl originated in Mayan culture and is the original hot chocolate drink!
This hot chocolate is a spiced, slightly bitter chocolate drink that was popular with Aztecs and Mayans, and you can still enjoy the drink today with the right ingredients!
It's not as sweet as typical hot cocoa, so you can taste the flavor in the chocolate, cinnamon, vanilla and chilli!
INGREDIENTS:
Dark Chocolate - 1/2 cup chopped dark chocolate
Milk - 2 cups of full fat milk or milk substitute if vegan.
Cinnamon - 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Vanilla - 1 teaspoon vanilla
Red Chili - 1 chili pepper, split in half and seeds removed
Honey - 1- 4 tablespoons honey (depending on how sweet you wish to make it.)
INSTRUCTIONS:
Step 1 - Melt the chocolate with a little of the milk in a small pot over medium heat.
Step 2 - Whisk in the remaining milk, the cinnamon, vanilla, and dash of salt.
Step 3 - Add the chili pepper to the pot and bring the pot almost to a boil.
Step 4 - Remove the pot from the heat and let it sit for 10 mins.
Step 5 - Remove and discard the chili pepper.
Step 6 - Whisk in the honey, 1 tablespoon at a time, and taste until it is a sweetness you like.
Step 7 - Pour the spicy Aztec hot chocolate into mugs and serve!
If you decide to have a go at making this delicious drink, share you pics and recipe variations with us!

Thanks for your suggestion.
I understand why this is frustrating for you. Like you say members who leave may be contacting you with their contact information. Which you are then unable to view when accounts are deleted either by our admin team or by the member themselves.
I will say that members who have been banned from FF permanently or via IP (which deletes the account and all site content including messages) are usually only scammers / spam bots. We don't want members being scammed ,which is one reason for the messages being removed and unreadable. Otherwise banning the account has no real affect, and members are left vulnerable by still being able to see and use scam links or contact information.
A genuine member is more likely to delete their account rather than have it permanently or IP banned by our admin team. In this instance, like you say you may need to be able to view their message, especially if it is a parting message with contact information.
We will have to have a think about this as we have to compliant with GDPR and not retain excessive information from deleted accounts.
Having the message viewable in your private email inbox that is linked to your FF account may not be ideal either as this is not guaranteed to be private and secure as it is when viewing the message on the site.
Leave this one with us... We are a community site, and we are here for people to make real connections with other genuine members whether online or in real life. We want to encourage friendships, and relationships that are formed here not hinder it. So I am sure we can think of something that is suitable to put in place.
Thanks again,
c00kie
