Yes, the web has moved on and the old Abode Flash based video chat has now been removed. Over 50% of members now come here on mobile devices which don't support Flash technology so unfortunately its days were numbered.

It's been replaced with the text chat and shortly the new beta chat (text chat version 2) which you should be able to use on pretty much any device.

Although it was inevitable, I feel kinda sad in a way because of all the fun times I remember using the chat. Does anyone remember the chat parties we used to have when the moderators would organize competitions and games? What fun memories do you have of the old video chat?

Thanks for your quick feedback. It's not a competition unless people make it into one, the idea is just to help people find nice pics they may like. I agree though this may not be the best place for it, just trying things out and will monitor the overall feedback and stats.

Please write any ideas, suggestions and comments you have about version 2 of the text chat in this thread. This chat will eventually replace the current text chat so with your help let's try and make it as bug free, fun and easy to use as possible.

Moved to personal ads forum

So obviously you know about the existing forum word search feature. This searches all of the forums for what ever words you type in and lists the results. How would you want to improve upon this search (i.e. Restrict the search to a particular forum? Or limit the search by categories?)?

Which page are you on in particular when this happens (please post the URL)?

Whenever you try to delete anything a warning box should appear. Which device/browser are you using?

You can use the scroll button (green arrows) to stop/start the message scrolling. This should give you a chance to look back through the messages to find the person you want to chat with.

The online tab does show everyone who is in the chat at the current tine, it doesn't miss anyone out.

The orange boxed numbers indicate that a new message has been sent when you are away from the room. These cover all messages and not just those that apply to you. When someone wants to chat with you a new tab will appear with their name on it and if you have audio youll hear a doorbell ring.

I'm planning two more chat upgrades that should solve both these problems. The first upgrade will include the website block feature, so if you've blocked someone on the website then they'll also be blocked from contacting you directly in the chat. This is due for release early in the new year.
