The feederism gene

I dunno about it being genetic but I definetly believe its something in us from waaay back when we were living in huts and whatnot

Darwins' 'surviving of the fittest' (or should I say 'the fattest': the one with the most reserves), compressed to a level of what is called 'a cell memory' ???
smiley

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cellular_memory

however, saying it is pure genetics goes a bit far for me. it is more like combination of phenotype (own character plus social and other surroundings and influences) en genotype (like what I said above). for that matter I sign under what Up Quark wrote.

Childhood tv that...

There really are a lot of cartoon episodes with gluttony as the theme. Makes me think that maybe there are more feeders or FA's out there than would admit to it.

Or maybe they thake it just as a joke.

I like Cow&Chicken, for that matter. And the Patrick from SpongeBob is kind of fatso smiley too.

When speaking of craving food, I guess ultimate foodee/feedee clip would be:
'the plant'

from Little shop of horrors

Identified as an ff member?

OniGumo wrote:
You're missing the point. Being proud of being a feedee/gainer/BBW/BHM doesn't mean you have to shout it from the rooftops. There are people who wouldn't understand if you did, and some of those people are in high places. As was stated earlier if someone who was, say...a senator for instance, got found out the scandal would be enormous

Au Contraire. Did you ever heard me saying you should scream it from the rooftops? I didn't refer to that at all. I reffered on the fact that I almost had to excuse myself here on the site, for having another opinion. Pls, I beg to differ smiley

Let me put the subject this way:
I think I can afford it (professionally), and therefore I dare to put the photo's etc here. I am not living in fear they'll be discovered at all.

Some other (hypothetical) person thinks photo's can harm them professionally - in that case is quite shortsighted to put them here in any form. And than to live in fear. And rejecting to own the consequences. Kind of hypocrite, don't you think.

It could, depending on this hypothetical politician's actions, bring a lot of negative attention to this community. Which could manifest as something mild like trolls, or something serious like hackers.

This is real possibility (though not exclusive only for ff). And everyone should count with it when putting private stuff online. Doesn't matter where: face, myspace, ff...you name it.

Not everything is cut and dry, Fairy. For a lot of people their involvement in this site is sexual, whether purely or partially so, and to most people sexual things are very very private.

That is true. But I didn't proclaim screaming it from the rooftops, again (you never hear for example SM people doing that either haha). Sexuality is one part of being human that everybody does very private about, so why should ff be exception. Even I am open to certain extent, and answer only if asked the right question. But do not open more than I can take.

What I'm talking about is owning responsibility for own 'internet appearance' and adjusting it according to your personal situation, rather than to live in fear of being discovered.

I hope this time I used better nuances and do not sound militant in own opinions haha. Otherwise, I give it up for being lost in translation. smiley

The hell that is my life

Thank you for sharing your experience. The way you dealt with it kinda restores my faith in men.
I wish you all the best smiley

All of you above wrote some absolutely wonderful, beautiful lines.

However, I couldn't help myself but to look at it once more - critically:
The world is full of people (both genders) cheating on their partners. Not because of some particular reason, but because they can. 'The opportunity makes a thief', sort of thing.
If you look around, you see it every step of the way.

Does these answers above give a right picture of the world surrounding us?
No.
How come?

Is that a sign that the 'ethics' level in feed/FA community is higher than average?

Or are we all plain giving 'socially adjusted' answers?

Just food for thoughts... smiley

Swollen, painful ankles

ThatReesesGirl wrote:
Does anyone have a suggestions or personal recommendations? And no, don't say get another job!! smiley

I do have (apart from supporting tights and lowing NaCl intake): go swimming! It has been 'own skin' proven, since I walk a lot too, and use swimming to relief painful ankles.

Swimming works slightly massaging and draining on your whole body. The surplus water will move out of perifere parts of your body, such as your swollen ankles, and soon you'll feel an urge to pee. the swelling will decrease as well as the ache.

It is nice, light sort of exercise, that doesn't put any extra pressure on your ankles and doesn't leave you breathless.

And above all, it will not make you burn all to much calories, so you can stay all nice and plump. smiley

How does a fat fetish develop?

alabaster25 wrote:
Gonna take a stab at this topic.

Thinking from an evolutionary standpoint, it might be something left over from a primitive time. With reproduction in the past, males were selecting partners that looked fit to continue their genetic line. Visually, a curvy woman might look better adapted for delivering a child than a woman who appeared as skin & bones.

I'm with you in this one. And the artifacts prove it as well:

The Venus of Willendorf, discovered in Austria, is believed to have been made between 22,000 and 25,000BC

Such a 'curvy' mother of your children, back in those times, probably gave an impression of somebody who's actually being able to survive periods of hunger, cold etc. The one that has 'the fat reserves' (applying both on male and female). And the preference for curvy nowadays, may as well be the genetic leftover of those ancient times.

I'll go even further: if you go hand in hand with Charles Darwin, it would be more natural and logic to long for curvy partner, rather than for skinny one. That in fact is not so, is a peer pressure flowing out of social 'deviations' of today, as eatingwelsh has already explained above.

Facesitting?

People should bear this in mind when they don't get a particular kink or quirk: that someone else finds it exciting, and maybe if they approach it with an open mind they might discover the thrill for themselves.

My sign on this. smiley
Not for facesitting, but in general.
