I had people tell me I was getting fat when I first started like I hadn't noticed. LOLOL.
My usual come back was" yeah I know" or "if I don't stop eating so much I will end up getting really fat".
That usually shut them up because they didn't know if I was kidding of if I really meant it.

If you want to gain weight then do it.
Eventually people will notice and after a while it will become normal and people will quit talking about you getting fat.

This sounds exciting and the fact he likes to eat now is a huge plus.
