Ohh i have crushed my share of cheap folding chairs. Plastic ones I don't trust. Broke a few of them. Some wood chairs I've heard them crack under me. Ohh the fun of being fat.

There are some that can eat past the pain. I did this once. You just feel really tight and get the urge to vomit. Took everything I had to not vomit.

At this point it really comes down to how you are built really. And if you keep Your legs strong. I mean I'm a little north of 500 And I still work a fairly physical job. It's not easy. But I'm also over six foot tall. And has always bin a big guy before I put on a bunch of weight.

I opted extra legroom also. But I brought my own belt extender on with me. I'm over six foot tall and even before when I thought I wasn't near as big as I am now. the belt ws like two inches from latching.

Maybe I need to look into that for myself...
Also be aware not all airlines use the same buckle.

When I was about 60lbs smaller than I am now I was boarding a flight where I had paid extra for an extra legroom seat so I could stretch my legs - it was a long international flight and I wanted to be comfortable. As soon as I was at my seat I asked for a belt extender and after going to check with her supervisor the flight attendant came back and told me I couldn't sit in the extra legroom seat if I needed a belt extender. The justification was that anyone that needed a belt extender wouldn't be able to assist staff to open the emergency exit if there was an emergency.
When I said I was more than capable of assisting in an emergency (which I was confident I could as I was, and still am, very mobile and adequately strong) they just repeated that anyone needing a belt extender could not be counted on to assist staff in an emergency and that it was part of the agreement when selecting the extra leg room seats.
I was made to move to another empty economy seat for the flight and I just did because by this point I didn't want to cause a scene. I was so embarrassed and upset. This was in front of an almost full internationl flight of people. It was one of the worst flgihts of my life because any time I needed to get out of my seat I felt like everyone was staring at me..

It al really depends on where your seat is set at for some of it. I have a 19 optima and my belly still haves room. But I'm tall and my seat is all the way back and leaned back some for head room.

What cars do you drive. I have a cx9 and belly up against the steering wheel. If I get to 420 plus it will be awkward.
