Complicite in making my partner immobile

You've asked for our views. My first thought is if everyone is on board, rock on, have fun.

My second thought is, "Man, there's a lot to consider going into that". Like, in being a full-time caregiver--what happens if you become unable to care for her? Like an accident, or just aging yourself. If you've got the money or support network to care for you both in such a case, awesome, but personally, I'd be anxious about that.

My third thought is wondering what you feel guilty about, if it's what she wants as well. Personally, I could imagine feeling present guilt over the possibility of future regret, but I'm not you, so I don't know what you're experiencing.

When does body size become effectively irreversible?

Similar to what Edxl said:

Long term weight loss studies suggest that people who intentionally try to lose weight do not do so in the long term--the vast majority of people regain lost weight, and most go on to gain more.

Put another way, any stable gain is permanent. For example, if someone overeats a lot to gain quickly, and then changes their eating habits to eat comfortably instead of overeating, they may lose a *little* weight, but any weight that doesn't come off quickly is likely permanent, in the long run.

This is related to the idea of "set point theory" (probably more properly "hypothesis" )--it seems to be that our bodies establish preferred weights that they try to maintain, which is related to plateus both for dieters and gainers.

Heavy cream experiences, the ultimate gaining tool?

TL;DR:
1. We can generally control dairy intake, but not a lot of other confounding factors related to visceral vs. subcutaneous proportion
2. Science > annecdotes
3. For health, four behaviors matter more than subcutaneous vs. visceral.

RobHutt:
There is quite a bit of nuance here. I don't think the claim it is entirely false, but I do think that its effect is generally overstated. There are a number of confounding factors going on here.

Good points here. While it’s probably true that some users overstate the effect, I think the bigger factor in the enthusiasm for heavy cream is that it’s a factor we have some control over.

The major confounding factors that affect subcutaneous vs. visceral fat gain—genetics, hormones, etc.—we don’t have much control over.

On the other hand, most people have greater control over our diets (but not total control—geography, SES, allergies, etc. also affect diet). I can’t (presently) reprogram my genes, but I can drink heavy cream if I want.

I think that control factor is key in the enthusiasm for heavy cream, for those who want to gain subcutaneous fat.

MitchHedberg:

There is a lot of misinformation on this forum where people will claim that drinking heavy cream will increase subcutaneous fat and make you softer. This is false. I did not experience that effect at all and I would take a grain of salt when someone claims it worked for them (usually their pictures show otherwise). I even managed to avoid simple carbs and foods with linoleic acid, ate avocados and superfoods daily and maintained a cardio and resistance training practice throughout my gains.

Some of this confusion came from people misunderstanding and putting too much faith in articles that the user becomingoverweight has cited, which suggest there may be a possibility of the side effect but by no means provides any concrete proof.

I interpret the situation a little differently. Anecdotal evidence isn’t really scientific data. So while it’s fun to see what possibilities the literature hints at and to compare our anecdotal experiences to it, forum conversations aren’t science. No individual’s anecdotal experience can, by itself, confirm or disconfirm the conclusions of these studies. We can identify where our experiences align or differ from the lit (which may inspire new lines of investigation), but just because any of us do or do not experience what the lit suggests doesn’t mean the conclusions are right or wrong.

Related to subcutaneous fat gain:

Some folks are interested in aesthetically. Others are interested in it because subcutaneous storage seems to be “healthier” than visceral fat gain.

For those interested in the health aspects, subcutaneous vs. visceral fat seems to be less important than behavioral factors that can be done at any weight.

Hannah Talks Bodies on TikTok is great at discussing and contextualizing epidemiological and social science information related to weight. For example, she addressed a study that looked at the relationship between BMI categories, four “healthy habits”, and mortality. Turns out, if people of any BMI conduct these four behaviors (not smoking, not exceeding moderate alcohol consumption, eating 5 servings of fruits and veggies per day, and exercising 12 times per month), the risk of mortality between BMI categories is negligible.

BMI is a garbage measurement, but it’s useful in this case—the study indicates that regardless of the reason that a person has a high BMI (subcutaneous fat, visceral fat, muscle, anything), four behaviors matter much more than BMI/weight.

Experimental gaining

Gottabebig67:
I mean I have been enjoying this but may just stay at a higher weight for a lil then lose at Least at this point in life

The only advice that can be given that is both ethical and empirical is to not gain much more weight than you intend to keep. How much more varies from person to person--for me it's about 5-10lbs.

Evidence on long term weight loss (2-5 years) indicates that most people who intentionally lose weight end up regaining it, and most re-gainers go on to gain even more. (Studies vary in methodology, conditions/variables addressed, how much weight loss is counted as "successful", how long counts as "long term", etc.)

We still don't fully understand our bodies' mechanisms for long-term homeostatic energy management. We know some of the pieces and interactions (organs, hormones, neurotransmitters, genes, epigenetics), but not the whole picture (though there's really been a research explosion since like 2013 or so--lots of interesting reads).

Has anyone here gotten results from hypnosis?

Ullthrox:
Thank you for the insight. I think I'll continue listening to it then. I'm currently struggling to have even 3 meals a day so this should help a lot.

However I do have one more concern which I forgot to mention in my post. There're some suggestions that make the file addictive like "the more you want to eat the more you want to listen to this file." and "you want to listen to this file again." I might be wrong but I'm assuming the intended effect of this is the more you're addicted to it the more you want to eat and vice versa or it could just be for personal gain. What are your thoughts on this?

You got it smiley hope you have the experiences you’re looking for!

Sounds like a positive feedback loop suggestion. “X makes you want Y, Y makes you want X”. That’s pretty common.

If that’s a genuine concern for you, it will probably be less effective. IME (and the general wisdom I’ve seen, but I could be wrong) is that not wanting a particular outcome constitutes pretty significant resistance.

I shared similar concerns about hypnosis when I first tried it out. I found it helpful to find files where I *wasnt* nervous about—and event wanted—the lasting effects (like those to encourage lucid dreaming) to get the hang of things and see how hypnosis affected me generally.

Has anyone here gotten results from hypnosis?

Ullthrox:
Interesting so I guess it's kind of a skill to get hypnotized.

Also Would you worry about the effects it has in the long run? Some of the suggestions from the hypnoses I listened to are things like "always hungry" and slower metabolism so I'm a bit cautious to actually seriously try it repetitively since I want to lose weight eventually but that itself could be what's preventing the results. Since I'm not getting results anyway it'd be safe to keep trying it to see if I get results right? I assume it's alright as long as the file itself isn't inherently dangerous.

While some people have a higher baseline suggestibility, becoming hypnotized and entering a trance is definitely something you can practice.

Tbh, I’m pretty skeptical hypnosis effects that aren’t mental/behavioral. I can’t imagine that physiological changes—like slower metabolism—are within the realm of pure suggestibility/hypnosis. Perhaps physiology could be altered slightly via SNS and ANS; for example, tumo meditation raises body temperature a bit, and presumably involves an accompanying metabolism increase, but that takes a LOT of practice.

As for hunger, when I’ve experienced hunger from hypnosis, it’s definitely felt different than normal hunger, but *very* compelling/motivating nonetheless. But I never experienced it very reliably. And certainly not lasting. But I think I’ve got a lower baseline suggestibility.

I personally wouldn’t worry about long-term effects unless you’re super suggestible or unless you work directly with a hypnotist for a long time.

If wouldn’t recommend gaining more than like ~5 or maybe 10lbs you don’t want to keep. Most people who intentionally lose weight eventually regain it, and most of the re-gainers end up gaining even more.

If you don’t want to gain weight in the long run, have you considered hypnosis to help with lucid dreaming or with altering your perceptions while awake? (such perceiving yourself as fatter than you are) The matter would probably involve hiring a hypnotist to make you files or work directly with you, but there’s lots of files intended to lead to lucid dreaming. (If you go that route, you might also consider binaural beats)

For fat art, do you prefer fanart or original characters?

For fetish art I always prefer OC; established characters used for a fetish—esp those who are canonically minors—just feels creepy.

For non-fetish fat art, I appreciate both.

I do like seeing fan art of people who’ve consented to it tho (eg an artist’s take on a feedee/gainer at a larger size)

Immobility

NYCBellyBlimp:
There is a FFA Feeder who would post here about her R/T experiences and tests to see if someone was truly hardcore or just a passing fancy upon release.

I was always pretty skeptical of her… something about it just seemed off/not real
