Women, gaining & alcohol

Very heavy drinkers undoubtedly have their hunger suppressed due to the inflammation alcohol causes of your entire GI tract.

But I know many neighbors and friends that have had most of their weight gain tied to drinking. 900 calorie margaritas. Some women will have 2 with a mexican restaurant meal that's already over 2K calories to begin with.

Tailgating all day pounding beers. The "freshman 15" is always alcohol driven. Moms with their bottle of sugary dessert wine every night. Mixed drinks with high calorie fruit juices and soda. They add up quick.

And there are many studies illustrating that people eat more calories after drinking as inhibition goes down.

Stages of getting fat (body types)

There's just something about moving from 5 to 6 that's so pleasing.

When you hit 5 and there's nothing you can wear, do or say to hide the reality that you're a lazy glutton any more, a lot of people put on the breaks at that point.

But to see someone outright blow past that is just the most amazing thing to witness first hand. Especially if they're a confident person.

I had a female coworker go through this stage. She would always have to readjust herself after lunch and just didn't give a flying **** what you thought about her or her belly.

Anyone went from super fit to fat?

My wife ran track. After gaining 75lbs, she tried going back to running and immediately hurt her knee and foot from the added weight. The doctor had her couch bound on crutches and put her on a large dose of Prednisone for a couple months which made her ravenously hungry; piled on another 30lbs to her.

And that really seemed to seal the deal when she started grappling with the reality that she was just going to be fat.

Even though that was years ago, she'll still use that as an excuse in conversation for her continued weight gain. "She can't exercise".

Weight gain and appetite

This might be enlighteningfor you, but fat people eat when they're not hungry.

They eat out of boredom. They eat for a small pleasure. They eat for comfort. They eat out of curiosity. They eat out of pure habit. They eat because they want to sit down and relax.

The whole point of why they're fat is they continually eat even when their body doesn't need or is signaling for more calories.

Controlled gain

Damn. The closest I ever get to this is when I run to the store late at night sometimes the wife will yell "AND DO NOT GET ME ANY FOOD!"

I'll bring home 3 giant sushi rolls as a mean joke.
"I'M NOT EATING THOSE." (they sit on the kitchen counter)

One hour later, the empty packages are sitting next to the couch. "Those were really good. Thank you."

Office weight gain

^ Office security/receptionist.

Everyone in our building feels bad for throwing away food. And for courtesy, every day you order stuff for meetings when you have outside vendors coming in. Half the time they never even touch it.

And so you always bring it down to the security guards/receptionists. Bagels, muffins, leftover pizza, deli subs, pastries, all of that crap.

But.. EVERY office on every floor does that! And those security and receptionist women have grown absolutely massive over the years because of that.

We had two leftover pizzas from a corporate lunch. And the two women polished them off by themselves.

Stereotype

I thought someone could easily gain and not conform to this general cartoonish stereotype. So I've been continually surprised that my wife continues to morph into this stereotype as she's gained.

And I definitely get turned on by the aspect of her new habits: laziness, mindless TV watching, avoiding stairs/walking, sweating, snoring, starting to leave wrappers around, constantly talking about what/where to eat next.

My favorite is probably checking our bank account to see the food runs. That she can't even pump gas without $10 in snack charges. Can't go an afternoon at the office without hitting the vending machines a couple times.

Office weight gain

One that sticks to me to this day involves our accounting department which is a bunch of really heavy women. Two of them are well over 350. The other around 300. And this newlywed that's easily gained 100lbs since starting with the company 4 years ago. And they always bring a TON of sweets to their weekly meetings.

Well one day I passed their conference room and they had this GIANT cake. I don't know if one of them had a birthday or what. For 4 women, a whole giant circular birthday style cake. 30 min later as I was grabbing a print out, the conference door swings open, they came out with this empty tray laughing, tossed the tray in the trash.

I was honestly shell shocked. 4 women just sat there and killed an entire cake that would typically feed a whole party. And thought that was totally normal. It was basically just a 2 o'clock snack to them!

Good foods for gaining that dont require refrigeration?

Oils are some of the most calorically dense foods out there. Hence why fried food is so fattening.

A tasty, super high calorie snack is dipping a nice bread into an olive oil dip. You can make your own by sprinkling some parmesan cheese and italian seasoning into some olive oil.

You can easily soak up a half cup of oil with a small loaf of crusty bread. That's 1,910 calories in olive oil alone!!

Breads have lots of calories on top of that!

Humiliating a fat girl

Contrastlover:
I like the subtle hummilation in bringing a partner to annual events; like birthdays, work break-ups etc.

^That's definitely a good one.
Every year for my work Holiday party my wife can't fit into her dress from the previous year and has to buy a new one. Many of my coworkers know her from years ago when she was skinny. So there's a subtle humiliation there. One time, a coworker of mine didn't recognize her when visiting our table.
