Hi I Am Uo,
Thank you for your suggestion regarding the chat update. We're already considering improving the block feature in the chat, as currently it only stops users that are blocked from being able to send a private message.
However, we can't just drop our current projects to jump into other tasks randomly. The chat is due for a comprehensive update, which will include introducing new features such as an improved block system, a kick feature for moderators, fixing bugs, removing the 'enters chat' notification, updating the overall look, and enhancing the UI.
When we begin work on the chat, we'll likely send out market research surveys, similar to what we've done in the past, to gather user feedback on current features and suggestions for improvements. Keep an eye out for that, and we hope to hear more from you.
Take care,

UPDATE:
There is currently no issue my end on being able to add a new chapter and copy pasting text in the the chapter upload form.
Please provide details of browser and device.
Looking at the screenshots provided it seems as though you were able to paste the story correctly (first image) as it states 13722 characters. But when you have pressed save its deleted your characters so that its under the 2000 limit. Is that an accurate description of what's happening?

Locking threads is not something done lightly or to halt discussion unfairly. It’s important to allow users to engage in polite and constructive conversations.
However, when threads are derailed or turn into personal arguments, it no longer reflects the original topic.
In such cases, locking threads temporarily or removing disruptive posts and then reopening the thread is the best way to keep discussions civil and maintain a positive environment for everyone.
Allowing users to post hurtful or hostile content would only damage the forum’s community, and this isn’t something that can be allowed.
The moderation team is small but works diligently to manage the site. Their responsibilities include content moderation, handling customer service, verifying members, dealing with premium content, monitoring for bugs, addressing abuse reports, checking for scammers, and thinking about site improvements, amongst many other things including keeping an eye on the forums. Please remember that this is all done by a wonderful group of people who volunteer their time.

Hi,
Thanks for getting in touch. The distance search filter has been in place for at least the past 10 years, allowing users to search for people based on proximity.
With many users based in large countries like the USA, the filter helps narrow down searches to local users, making it easier to find people nearby.
The search radius starts at 25 miles (for local results) and can go up to 2000 miles (global results). However, most users aiming for global interaction may not need the filter.
To find people close enough for potential in-person meetups, you recommend keeping the search radius within 250 miles.
Hope this helps,
