What made us this way?

I'm sure there as many reasons as there are those of us who like these things. For me I know I was always interested in cartoons of characters getting fat and the like when I was a kid. Weirdly enough, my family, especially my mother has a very negative relationship with weight and being fat. So when I got a little chubby between the ages of about 10-15 I got lots of negative comments. At that time it made me hate my body. I may have partially developed an eating disorder. My mom is bulimic. I went more towards anorexia. Although I never was diagnosed. At around 15 I got sick and lost a lot of weight. It was the result of Crohns disease. Which, along with 4 abdominal surgeries to remove many feet of my intestines, more hospital stays than I can count, has kept me underweight ever since. Except for the few times I had to be on prednisone. But any weight I gained I quickly lost when I stopped the meds.

With all that I started more on the feeder/fa side. My girlfriend now wife was very average weight when we met. But after a few years she did gain some. I then told her that I actually really loved her that way and if she gained more I was cool with it lol. Which she did! Lol. I was never a direct feeder or anything. It was more like let nature have its course.
I did always seem to have thoughts of myself gaining a lot of weight and really liking those thoughts. But the negative reactions from family always popped into my head. I eventually told my wife this and she was fine and happy with it. Saying she would love me just the same no matter what size I was. That I'd actually be cute to her if I had a belly and such. I had a few half attempts to gain that never really took hold because of my crohns disease. Then a couple years ago we moved farther away from family and I figured at my age this was gonna be my one and only time to really try to gain and live some of my life fat. So I went for it, heavy cream and all. Gained about 50lbs with on and off attempts as I've had extra money in the last year and a half about. I plan to keep going and catch up to my wife who is about 300. She is all for it and has very much enjoyed what I've gained so far. It's been a struggle, but I keep trying. Oh wow, you just asked why we are like this and I just rambled on my entire life story lol. Well, hopefully that sheds some light on it all. smiley

Heavy cream tastes like sh...

I find it interesting how some people, myself included, like or even enjoy the taste. While others can't stand it. Goes to show how different we all are.
Can always try cooking with it. Use it instead of milk in various recipes. Alfredo sauces are a good one. Whipped with sugar to add to desserts. Of course you'll likely not be able to eat or drink as much at any one time. But some is better than none.

Fat celebrity crushes

Sara Rue before she lost weight. Not sure if she gained it back. If you don't know who that is, I bet you've seen her in many things and didn't know it.

What is the first step?

Eating as much as you like and can is the obvious first step. I've found that heavy cream works wonders and really adds enough calories to jump start gaining. Just like eating you kinda gotta ease into it. Give your body the chance to adjust to that much food, fat, and calories. Then as your body adjusts and can handle it add more. Having a few gulps of heavy cream after meals and before bed. The amount of calories you need to gain just one pound is 3500 and that's on top of the 2000-2500 you need each day just to live. So if you aren't used to eating that much it takes time. Plus your body can only digest so much at any given time. Start off slow and give your body a couple weeks to get used to the excess and then add more food, heavy cream, etc. Repeat. Best of luck!

Skinny boys must be fattened

Lol, I guess I'm in this category. I started at about 140-150ish and now at about 200 with more to go! I still look at that first pic I took of myself when I was skinny and compare it to my new ones. I find it crazy I was like that not that long ago. Keep at it everyone!

Nightly heavy cream shakes

It might be best to ease into drinking that much fat and calories. Your digestive tract needs time to adjust to it. Or you could end up with all sorts of digestive issues. Straight oil not only taste horrid and has horrid mouth feel, but it's likely it will pass right thru you. Personally I've found heavy cream alone to be perfect to add hella calories while tasting good. Some don't like the taste and texture, but I find I like it lol. Also, your body can only digest so many calories at any given time too. I think 1000 calories is the cut off for heavy cream every 4 or so hours. So having about 1000 calories worth after each meal and before bed would be a great balance. Granted, I'm no doctor or nutritionist. Just from personal experience and what I've read here of other people's experience. Best of luck and happy gaining!

Surprising results.

I've heard that things like boost, ensure, etc. Whether shakes, bars, or whatever can really help with gaining. They not only have high calorie versions but with all the vitamins and minerals it helps your body have what it needs to gain easier. Whether that is true or not I don't know. But I've heard many have succes. Keep it up!

What age is best?

Almost any age can work. As others have said, being on your own is ideal. Even though I've wanted to gain for ages. I didn't in my younger years because I was too busy and active. Now I'm in my early 40s and am gaining. I figure that can give me about 10 years of living the life. As one gets older, depending on how fat one is, health issues can arise and being older means being less likely to keep healthy. Being young enough for my body to handle it. Being a little older could also help with slowing your metabolism. Many people gain as they age. I just worry about health issues after 50. But, many times of life can be good gaining years lol. Best wishes!

Crossing the threshold of being officially overweight

I'm 5'8" and started at about 150lbs. I've been hovering between 190-200lbs which is overweight. But, 203lbs is obese!! I'm sooooooo close ! I've never been this big ever before. So I totally get the feeling of seeing yourself be classified as something different. Keep at it! Make each classification a goal lol.

What does quickly gaining weight feel like?

When I started gaining I was quite skinny. So I noticed changes pretty quick. Tighter cloths was definitely something I was aware of. Various parts jiggling was another very noticeable aspect. Brushing ones teeth can definitely make you feel and notice parts that jiggle now. Of course sitting down and noticing and feeling any rolls that formed. I used heavy cream and gained about 50ish lbs. So maybe that helped with subcutaneous jiggly fat and not as much visceral fat.
