I often have peanut butter as a way to add extra calories when heavy cream is too expensive. The all natural Teddie Bear kind is awesome! I eat it right out of the jar with a spoon. But, I've done that for ages even when not gaining as I just like the taste lol. Definitely need a drink to go with it though or it's almost like eating cement lol. Can't wait to hear of more results and your experience.

I used heavy cream to gain as I had a hard time eating enough. With about 3 months of drinking about a pint a day/every other day. I did this twice with maybe a month break in-between. I went from 150ish lbs to about 200lbs. When I stopped I've gone down to about 190lbs. Now I'm starting up again. As many have said, doing it for a while is needed. Meaning weeks or months. I can drink it straight but that is difficult for many. Also as many have said to break it up thru the day. I would always chug some after eating and before bed. It does work and very well too. Even for someone who has had a very hard time gaining in the past. Best of luck!

I too seem to gain everywhere, not just my belly. Granted, I'm not that big so who knows if things change as the scale goes higher

I wish I knew how hard it was to eat enough to gain. With so many worldwide (heh wide) being overweight or obese it always seemed like common knowledge that it's easy to gain weight and super hard to lose it. Well, it's frigging hard to gain too! Everyone is different, but I have to use heavy cream and eat often to get enough calories to gain even at a decent pace. Also, how expensive it can be too.

Some don't like the taste or consistency and ,if in with other things. I actually am fine with just drinking it straight. I've found it's better to drink smaller amounts throughout the day rather than a lot all at once. It has a lot of fat in it and that can not be friendly to your digestive track. Your body can adjust to it. But it can take a week or two for that. Having food with it helps also. Hope that helps! It definitely help me gain and I have a difficult time gaining.

This is good to know! I have an abdominal scar too and was worried as I gained if it would cause any issues or hurt since it isn't as flexible as normal skin.

Fatgasmic:
In your experience, are Italians fatphobic?
I don't think there is a yes or no answer to this. I'm of 100% Italian ancestry. My great grandparents all came over in the early 1900s. In general I haven't seen any fat phobia. Hating someone because they are fat compared to people making comments about someone's weight has a lot of grey area.
There is that Italian stereotype of many Italians being overweight because food is such a major part of our culture and tradition. I don't think Italians are anymore fat phobic than any other group of people. It's far to large a group to make that kind of generalization. I will say that my mother has major issues with weight. As she was teased as a kid about her weight and it definitely messed up her relationship with food and body image. But, she isn't fat phobic. Nor did it have anything to do with her being Italian. The kids that teased her were from all different nationalities. Anyway, that's my 2 cents

Not sure if this will help. But I have some health issues my family knows about. So I've just blamed being on a medication that has caused weight gain. Which pretty much ends any further comments or questions.
Your family sounds very similar to mine. I've found that showing that I'm aware and not concerned about any weight gain also keeps them quiet. They may think you aren't aware you've gained weight or not know why or need help losing it. Once you show them you know what's going on and are ok with it they might leave you alone. Best of luck! Either way, good on you for living your life and not for others. Keep it up!

I think yes, to some extent. If you gain a decent amount fast enough. I've felt my clothes getting tighter over the course of a few days. Or more jiggle when moving. Little subtle clues.
It might be like a placebo with the mind wanting to gain so much we feel something that isn't actually happening. Or at least happening in a way we can actually feel. Either way if it makes you happy, keep going with it.

My family is all a bunch of health nuts where being fat would be a nightmare. So I definitely have gotten comments about my gain. But, I have a pretty great excuse, imho.
I've had health issues since 16 years old. These health issues have caused me to be underweight most my life. But, one of the medications I've taken from time to time called prednisone has the side effect of lots of weight gain. So, with my recent attempt to gain I just said to them I was back on my medications and that's why my weight has changed. It pretty much ends there.
I do also tell them that being bigger doesn't bother me nor my wife. And vice versa since she is bigger than I am. Many medications cause weight gain. So that could be an excuse to get someone off your back. At the end of the day, it's your life and your body and the only person that gets a say in what happens to it is yourself. Best wishes to all!
