Just finished the first episode. Meh, had some funny lines, but just because the show is about two fat people doesn't mean that every joke has to be a fat joke. Also, it really pissed me off that it's made very clear that both Mike and Molly are fat because they eat too much.

As opposed to what? Alien abduction? Black magic? I mean, come on.

As opposed to actual science, dear.

How to convince my gf to gain?

I think everyone needs to ease up on the OP, although I agree, this is the sort of situation which I imagine many feeders (usually guys) find themselves in.

It is good to give advice, but no need to assault a persons character, most would still be new to the whole scene so lets all be nice and supportive in showing the right way to handle these situations. smiley

Any 'coming out of the fridge' success stories?

I find that my reluctance to come out of the fridge spawns from a few things. One certainly is that my mom is a health nut, and my dad exercises every morning before work. I cannot imagine their response being anything but negative.

The other part is more internal. I love the mountains. I have climbed to the summit of Mt. St. Helens and I absolutely love it. I really enjoy backpacking in the Cascades and being outdoors. All of these are extremely physically demanding. I really enjoy being fat and I want to be fatter, but I just can't put all of this behind me and say, "I'm done with that stuff now". So there is this internal conflict that is also keeping me back. Also most of my friends also enjoy backpacking and all of them are physically fit, so I'm usually left is the back as the slow, fat guy.

You can be fat and fit, where was that post of the 300lb guy killing it at the gym, he's my new hero! smiley

So vaguely related, but my BF is 300 ish, and goes to the gym like every other day. He's been begging me to go with him, mostly for muscle strength and cardio reasons. But you've made me think Max, maybe I should go just to watch his belly bounce around on the treadmill. How smexy would that be? smiley

lol, go, enjoy, think of what you are missing out! smiley

I think the reaction would be one of "ZOMG ARE YOU F#@*^& CRAZY?!" lol I really don't need that kinda thing on top of the natural doubt I have over my desire, I think my response would be to go find a corner and cry lol.

Have you told anyone you're an FA? That is definitely loads easier, and you'll be surprised how well most people will take it. If someone hassles you about *that*, you shouldn't be friends anyway.

I think Debz is right--most people are surprisingly cool about what their friends do.

Eh, having always been single my preference's aren't really a subject of convo much lol, i'm sure some people think i'm gay...

As for what Debz said, I kinda disagree, the problem isn't with being a fat person, I have nothing against that, people get fat all the time and no one cares lol. I think the problem is the idea of telling someone you want to get fat and you enjoy it, the world tends to cling to the view that "no one wants to be fat", to buck that trend I really think people would jump to conclusions like "mental illness" and the like. Just my view anyway. smiley
