I am currently serving in the reserves. I love fat bellies but I have to stay in shape for semi-annual physical readiness training and BFA measurement, which I currently "just" pass. I am nearly out by age, just a year left.
Though I am in pretty good shape, my wife is pretty heavy.

Peronally, I prefer mutual weight gain. But I write both BHM and BBW. I don't like the force feed or darker side. I usually start out with the protagonist gaining, being a little confused, but then deciding that it is enjoyable and gains even more. I have written a couple of stories in which the protagonist gain deliberately to "get at" or "get even" with their significant other. Only to fine out their "SA" loves them even more fat!

I recently pigged out at our home in the mountains. Before I left for there, I grabbed a package of brats out of the freezer, box of mac & cheese. I did stop at the grocery on the way up, getting a box of donuts. But once up there, it was just briefs and a tight t-shirt and plenty of food!

I envy all of you! Great job, I do love visiting this site and have been for a few years. I have only gained a few pounds, but the future may hold many more!

I have to agree to some extent, that we are in someway, hard wired to like big bellies/heavy thighs etc.
I do want to point out one curious fact. You look at the American population, especially as the media and our government would have you believe, that the vast majority of us are overweight or obese. That being said, why are the majority of those obese/overweight people married? If you believe the media/fashion hype, the divorce rate should be through the roof! They would have you believe that your spouse/SA should be young and slim. If he or she gains weight (heaven forbid) then dump them for a slimmer new one. Obviously that is not happening.
I really think I lot more people/members of society, either appreciate thicker heavier spouse/SA or truely like and adore them.

I don't want to necessarily "tute" my own horn, however, my story, "The Best Summer Ever!" is one of my personal favorites and has been commented and appreciated on both this site and DA.

bobbybob, Your last gain was what is called visceral fat. The is fat cells that collect (for lack of a better term) around your abdominal organs. Thus even though you have a big belly, it is relativly firm. My belly/abdomen is the same way. I think to get a really soft belly, which I would love someday, I think it is a matter of gaining more weight in total, rather than different foods. Ned Fox
