I have always worn briefs, my favorites are Hanes Comfort Flex Fit, which is low cut, bikini style briefs I wear the smallest size I can fit into. I love to see and feel the gains, plus I look fatter.

Your age shouldn’t be an issue at all. I had to weight to gain deliberately until I retired from the military.
Being older you will gain a lot easier as your metabolism will continue to slow.

I can vouch as someone who didn't start gaining until my late 40s - it's slow and then it's fast. At first it will feel like you're not making any progress, and then it starts to pile on pretty quickly.

Listen to Munchies - be mindful of blood sugar and blood pressure, and be aware of increased potential for sleep apnea.

I actually started my deliberate gain at 60. I loved how quickly I put on weight and how effortless it was. I gained 35 lbs. over a few years, no stretch marks, I have a 48” waist which I love, smooth round firm belly.

Gaining slowly

Trust me, I want to gain and be big. But I want to do it slowly and enjoy the journey. So please any advice on my following plan:

Continue my normal meals just get an extra serving and drink a soda to every meal.

Every night before bed, ice cream chug.

Snack time that will be considered healthy in public: peanut butter (I usually will eat a few spoon fulls at work)

Make every fast food meal a large and go from having zero meals a week to at least 2 a week. (Will increase once I am bigger).

And lastly: stuffing on the weekends. I am loving stuffing myself to the point I cannot move. But it has to be on the weekend since it will be impossible to do it on the weekdays due to work.

Let me know what you guys think or if I should add anything else. Would love to gain at least 5 pounds a month. (Please don’t push for me to gain over 20 pounds a month).


To me, anyway, you’re describing a rapid weight gain.
I retired from the military reserves in 2013. My weight was 206lbs. In 2023 I hit my highest weight at 240lbs. So 34lbs. Over ten years, I just ate more at meals, always had dessert, and few binges here and there. I still run in the mornings and I’m fairly active I.e. mowing the lawn, home maintenance, etc.

Inflatable fake bellies

Idk if I am in the right section, but I am trying to find some fake bellies that are inflatable and realistic looking...would anyone happen to know were I can find one?


I have a couple of inflatable beach balls. I know, you're thinking that's not realistic, but weight! I have some larger briefs, partially inflating the "ball" and stuffing it into the larger briefs for support, with sweat pants or larger basketball shorts, it looks pretty real and convincing.

A weight gain idea

I gained around thirty pounds over several years mainly on binges while "home alone" or at our vacation cabin.

The binging is really fun and gains showed up very quickly. I kept on the pounds by eating more after binges.

I went from 206 lbs. to 235 lbs. My waist around my love handles and belly button is 48", around 42" where I wear my belt.

Getting fat in middle age

“Middle-age spread” is a thing and basically expected and accepted in our society.

There’s no such thing as “teenage spread”.

You’ve gotten to the age when your metabolism just naturally slows down.

Just enjoy life and good food, and let nature do her handiwork.


I've gained thirty or so pounds over the last few years. I'm seventy now, I think it is expected that older you get, not only is it easier to gain, but you're "supposed too" gain.

I was in the military reserves for over twenty five years and had to watch my weight. The older I got the harder it was to meet the standard, though the standards were adjusted for age.

So, of course, when I retired I started to indulge, not totally gorging myself, but eating more and higher calorie foods.

I'm now hovering between 235 lbs. and 240 lbs. at 5'11" in height, so clinically obese.

My wife hasn't mentioned my increased weight, which I do nothing to hide from her. She is obese too.

My only concern, really is how fat do I want to be?
