Oh and to be clear by "remove yourself" I don't mean leave or lurk...

I mean that in terms of removing a certain element of vulnerability.

Instead of jumping in to the deep end of the pool and immersing yourself with all of the feederism community has to offer, maybe go in through the shallow end and get the water up to your shins.

Let's not shove our opinions about gender and sexuality on other people when they don't invite it, maybe?

I absolutely am all about genderqueering etc, but I cringe when someone calls other people eggs or the like without them inviting it.

If you want to quietly muse about how they might be unaware they're trans, do that to yourself.

Speaking as someone who has been upset at being called an egg *while I am 100% aware that I am genderqueer*.

LGBT+ labels are delicate things, and people can explore their gender without being an "egg" or "trans" or etc etc

It's important to remember that your personal relationship with the fetish is your personal relationship with the fetish.

What I mean is -

Yes, there are bad actors. There are bad actors everywhere, in every community.

There are scammers, catfishers, and even out and out toxic and abusive folks.

However, remember: You don't need to be in the community to enjoy the kink, and even if you're in the community.... you don't need to be *in* it.

Does that make sense?

See if you can remove yourself and just witness the space, rather than let all of that negativity and toxicity get into you and color your experience of the kink/fetish itself as a whole.

When taking one of My psych courses back in college, pretty much the first thing the professor shared was that anorexia can be triggered by sexual abuse, specifically with the reasoning that "If I'm skinny and unattractive, it won't happen again" or "If I don't have a period/have breasts, no one will see me as a woman and a target"

And

This was *not* said by the professor, but I would 300% stand by My assessment that the same can be said about morbid obesity and uncontrollable gaining.

I dunno, I could go on, but yeah, the human mind and body is a lot more reactive and pattern-following than we really are even aware.
