I think a boyfriend's/husband's/etc. natural instinct is deny his significant other is gaining any weight, even if the weight is as incredibly sexy and lovely as it is on you. Have you tried just eating a lot in front of him, busting your jeans open, and then wondering out loud why they aren't fitting? That might not work but I'm going to imagine it anyways, heh.
