I did that once in Austin, DoughBelly, and we've been kicking the idea around for months in Virginia but there's not a lot of site members here.

I def agree about meeting publically. This is why I wish we had more FF meetups in the US. Create a safe environment to meet folks.
Flip side, I've met people from here, and they've all been cool. Most people here, like anywhere else, are alright.
In fact when this community first started, back in the 90s, it was pretty much based around drawings and morphs.
