A fattening curse

Chapter 3 - c3: the end is only beginning

The following morning, just as the first rays of dawn sunlight began to bleed in heavenly colors of sherbet across the sky, Trinity was up and about, sniffing like a stray dog among the pantry.
God, what am I doing? She wondered. Why can't I stop myself!? The appetite had returned to afflict her, except this time it was far worse. And Lord, look at those potato chips...Greasy and bright-tasting with the bite of salt...Before she could even comprehend her actions, down the hatch with the chips.

Cheetos, colorful with neon orange cheese, so explosive was their flavor...Gone with those too. An entire container of thick, calorie-laden Greek yogurt, smooth with honey, polished off. It left a pleasant silky residue in Trinity's esophagus, and filled her growling belly to near capacity. Suddenly, however, she was overcome with the most overwhelming and painful urge, no, deep-rooted NEED, to eat. She was in the refrigerator pulling out every possible fattening food to shove in her mouth, and she certainly discovered plenty. Macaroni salad? Adios. Sweet, cream-filled Danishes? Sayonara. That Doritos casserole, coated in a delectable blanket of cheese, half of that took a vacation through Trinity's system as well.

When she finished engorging herself, the slender girl lie breathless and writhing in pain on the kitchen linoleum. Only she wasn't quite as slender as before. A tight mound of strained, stuffed flesh was poofing up from her torso, already a thin layer of fat stretched over the inflated gut. It wasn't as shy as yesterday peeping from her shirt, hard and bloated as it was. And each little calorie slowly spread across her belly, adding more inches, softening her angles and adding girth to her wasted figure. Swollen breasts oozed from her chest and hung, plump and defeated, from her. Somehow, despite this pigging out, Trinity didn't seem to care or notice the extra pounds as they piled steadily on. She was convinced she was still rail-thin and thus invincible, and that all the food she was eating couldn't do anything to her.

She took to snacking near constantly, stealing her boy toys' lunches at school, always popping a candy in her mouth or munching a French fry. She blamed her mother's incompetence with the laundry when her size 0 jeans mysteriously 'shrunk' and she struggled to wiggle them over her plumping body. The severe thigh gap between her legs was filling in as her thighs, once sad, bony things, chunked up and became like juicy sausages beneath her ballooning stomach. Trinity was still considered thin, but she was definitely chubbier. A soft roundness enveloped what was originally a sharp, defined face, with a pointed chin like the tip of a triangle and slightly hollow cheekbones. It was lost to pillows of fat for cheeks, very cherubic, and a round little chin with just a hint of a double chin blossoming underneath. These new fifteen pounds were actually quite flattering on starving Trinity, because they made her more human-like, as opposed to a shriveled, walking skeleton. Peers at school noticed her recent rapid gain, and one of the heavy girls whom Trinity always mocked for her weight commented on it one day.

"Damn, Skinny Trinny, not looking so skinny anymore. I mean, look at that gut!"
Students nearby chuckled, as it was quite true; There WAS a gut on Skinny Trinny. A bump of lard in the form of a most adorable, gelatinous little potbelly pooched from her black leggings, which she desperately struggled to conceal under a baggy t-shirt. Her normal, flairy attire and risqu crop tops had been hastily abandoned for comfortable, breathable shirts when Trinity realized how her stomach was accumulating uncontrollably in size. Those narrow hips were starting to get squishy, and yet poor, not-so-little Trinity was unable to stop it...
