Mike Dombrowski deliberately picked the Bohemian Crystal Restaurant to propose to Amanda. He and Amanda had been together for nearly a year and they had eaten out at a LOT of restaurants. Mike knew by now that Amanda would order the biggest, most filling thing on the menu. Chances are she'd help herself to some of Mike's dinner too. So she was going to be nice and FULL at the end of the meal.

This was PERFECT. You see, Amanda's mother told Mike that she was going to wear her favorite dress to the restaurant that night. Well, she wore the SAME dress on their last three dates and each time the dress had gotten a little tighter as Amanda had gotten a little bigger. The way Mike figured things, the seams on that dress HAD to give way virtually any minute now. So by the time Amanda finished her sumptuous meal, her belly should just about be ready to make an appearance. It was at THIS particular time that Mike planned to jump out of his seat, drop to one knee and pop the question. He brought along one of Amanda's sweater that she had left at HIS place, just in case modesty compelled her to cover up some exposed flesh.

Mike's instincts were right on the money. Amanda ordered the combo plate which consisted of a huge pork tenderloin, a large piece of smoked butt, a full helping or roast pork, half a duck breast, and a large scoop of pork goulash. She attacked her meal with her usual feral relish, polishing off a remarkable amount of food in near record time.

Just about the time the waitress came by to clear off the plates, Amanda took a deep breath and, right on cue, her belly emerged from a dress that could no longer hold in her expansive belly. At that moment, Mike got up, dropped to one knee and asked Amanda to marry him. She hesitated giving him an answer just momentarily, long enough to almost produce a minor panic attack. But finally she said YES, Mike slipped the ring on her finger and simultaneously wrapped the sweater around her shoulders so she could pull it around her near fully exposed belly. A perfect ending to a perfect day!!
