Chapter 3

Who doesn't pay for their pizza anyway, nobody I know. The four of them seemed more alive than ever. Food seemed to bring them to life, finally they were turning into the people I made friends with years ago, actually I was just their supplier of..well..things, but we became good friends. The eating commenced and I watched an incredible sight most guys never live to see, ever. Most women, when they eat are always worried that they'll be judged for making a mess, eating too much, or whatever their own personal thing might be. Not this time. They dug in to those pizzas with a vigor that Im sure would have made a Viking warrior proud. The four of them had been acting as if they had never eaten anything at all in their lives! I could describe the process here, let you know every lasting detail of their devouring personality and how it seemed to change, but it's not that big of a deal for now. The feeding frenzy lasted all of twenty minutes. I didn't get a single slice. Not one. I didn't dare try to reach for one out of an unknown fear that I might lose my hand in the chaos.

After they were all finished, you could tell they what they did, their stomachs had been distended just a bit, they took too much in entirely too fast. But there was no complaining here. They all seemed to be at ease once more. Normal and happy, most importantly themselves. I was relieved and already was trying to put this whole ordeal behind me, but my mind wouldn't let me do it. It has a bad habit of not letting go of anything and I needed to learn more about this screen name, this person who had come into this little circle and seemed to mess everything up.

"Well, that was pretty good." Melanie said, as she patted her stomach gently. "You...you inhaled that as if it were nothing at all. What has gotten into you," I was concerned for them, and their state of mind. They looked at me like I was the one on drugs this time. As if I had no idea what I was talking about, and basically, that's how they answered me. I had to know more though, I looked at my watch and decided it was time to go at that point. "As fun as this was..I need to go, now. I have a thing to do, yeah," Worst excuse ever, but that's all I could come up with. They gave me the weirdest look, but just smiled. I suppose it worked. "Well, if you must go. I suppose we'll let you go. Don't forget your stuff next time. We are running low," Amanda said, and up until this point she hadn't said anything all. This was highly unusual because normally, you couldn't get her to shut up.

I stood up from my chair and quickly made my way to the door, opened it and stepped out into the hallway. I closed the door and they were all just watching me leave, one of them smiled, but it didn't match the rest of the face. The grin was twisted, and when I blinked it was gone. Stupid imagination running away with me again as I shut the door and turned away. The trip down the hallway was a cold one, really. The temperature of the hall was icy cold. But it got a whole lot worse when somebody whispered to me. "Hello there..." It came from behind me and instantly I turned only to see an empty hallway. See, nothing quite creeps a person out when they start hearing voices in empty hallways that just happen to be dimly lit to begin with. A growing sense of dread began to come over me then, I had to get out, I just knew I did because something terrible was about to happen to me. Something I didn't want to experience. I could feel something watching me, but saw nothing out of the ordinary. It was time to go.(1500)

I felt better once I got to the end of the corridor and to the outside. It seemed as if I had been in there for ages, but it was barely twenty minutes. Walking to my car I decided that I needed to know more about this. I knew the second I got out of the room the horrors of the computer would easily begin once more. This thought alone somehow made me feel sick to my stomach in ways I could not describe. Nor would I want too, ever. Getting into my car was easy, deciding what to do next was not. I could investigate this further and learn more to see just what I could find out. Maybe if I could find some kind of evidence that this was something far worse than it appears to them, although I still had no idea why or how they could have been taken in so easily. It was time to do some research, I wasn't exactly permitted to be on a computer due to past events, but I decided to take a trip to the Library, not to mention it was already close by.

Something then occurred to me. It was actually kinda funny that I didn't think of it right away. But I had no idea what all four of them were doing there to begin with. They don't live together, and they don't exactly hang out a lot either besides on the weekends, and even then not very often. So what were they all doing there at the same time on a Wednesday, at noon? I wish I would have thought to ask before I left the place, but maybe it's better I didn't ask. Who knows what might have happened if I did. Maybe it was best I was left in the dark on that one.

It was time to venture on to the internet myself for some further and needed insight into this problem. So I did what any person who wanted to do some research would do. I consulted the all knowing thing known as Google. The first thing I typed in to the search bar was of course the screen name itself. Umzaro had nothing on it, not only that but it didn't even seem like the word even existed, or at least meant anything. Google wasn't the best search engine out there but it was the most widely used, and this case it had failed me. I needed to know something, anything more that might help. So I clicked on Google's main page one more time and I Tried to type in the name again, with a capital U this time. But I misspelled it and called it "Umazaro". Well, I got something interesting, a bit of a urban legend came up.

Loved it!
I liked the non-typical approach to WG.

I write what I'd like to see. Thanks for the comments. Weird is a compliment, thanks. Maybe I'll make more, maybe not. We'll see. You'll notice some details are lacking, this is because I don't like to spoon feed people, use your imaginationsmiley
