Chapter 4
This little piggy stayed home

Monday morning, time to start fattening their final group of pigs. They took possession of their experimental feed and set out to work. But what they really had was the normal feed with its predicable gain rate for the pigs. They would be ready for market in 17 weeks. All the girls were really getting large except Lisa, and even she had finally broken 200lbs. Cassidy had increased her lead considerably over Holly. Her three weeks spent with mama Sara cooking and sampling everything she made had essentially equaled and extra meal or two a day. After feeding her pigs she headed to the scale to find a very pleasing for her 331 lbs. That night she asked Holly if she had weighted recently. She had last Friday and was at 297lbs. Beth stated she and Tonya had two weeks ago, she was 276lbs and Tonya was 287Lbs. Lisa said she was 201 a week ago.
Month two and the pigs were well behind her last group in weight. That afternoon mama Sara came to see Cassidy in her work area. She told her she just got a call that both her grandparents had died in a house fire. Cassidy was devastated as they had been her last living relatives. She booked a flight home to make the arrangements and Holly went with her. Holly told her that her mother died after she was born and she did not really know her father. Her grandparents died when she was ten, so she was placed in foster homes but had never really connected with any of the families. Later that night Mr Smith returned from his "business " trip to Atlanta. After the funeral they went back to work. While they were away the Smith's job became much easier. Cassidy and Holly had no one that would miss them if they never returned home. The other girls were now all out of the running for the job after the internship ended. The girls buried themselves in their work. Cassidy was a little depressed but quickly snapped out of it and was back to her old self in a couple weeks. Mr Smith wanted to vacation in the mountains of Colorado so he needed to get to work on Holly if he was going to win the bet. He had to get her closer to Cassidy pretty quickly to have a chance. He started spiking her beverages she kept in the mini fridge in her work area with weight gain powder.
Month three and Cassidy was up to 359 lbs 28 more than last month. She was now nearly as heavy as Mama Sara. Holly was well past 300 herself at and had actually closed the gap a few pounds between herself and Cassidy. She weighed 337, a 40lb gain since she last weighed and only 22 lbs less than Cassidy. Mama Sara thought Cassidy would easily top 400 before the forth month was up and that Holly had a chance to get to 400. If she does it would be their first pair of interns to top 400 the same year. If she can get Cassidy to 420, then she would be their heaviest one yet, and the fifth one in the 10 years they had run the program to get above 400. Holly would make six if she gets there as well. That night the Smith's made their final decision on the two girls. Holly would be the Piggy that stayed home. She would be his new breed sow. The tie breaker between the girls was Holly's wider hips, which they believed would lead to easier births. Holly was now designated as "this little piggy stayed home"
