Good things, come to those who wait

Chapter 3 - Building a Relationship

We had after the first date decided we both wanted to go on another one, so we made plans to go to out again the following Wednesday night. This time I decided that I would take her for a Chinese, which was not as flash as the Italian of the Friday before, but I had heard the food was supposed to be superb and it would not take as big a bite out of my student loan.

We ordered the set meal for two, which insured plenty of courses to enjoy. I was glad to see Claire went about her food in much the same way as our first. She made light work of the spring rolls, aromatic duck, chicken in a black bean sauce and sautéed beef. Although the portions of each between the two of us were not exactly large it made a sizable meal when you added it all up, all the more pleasurably for the way she looked as she ate every mouthful. She did however again struggle to finish the sweet and sour pork, eventually having to call it a day.

The date was as well went much the same as the first, in that we continued to find more and more things we had in common and the conversation was easy and enjoyable. The date again ended with a kiss this time accompanied by some groping, which I could not help, but think there was something missing with. It just did not really bothered me though as much as I thought it would, we were just getting on so well and if I was not careful I could end up really falling for her.

In the few weeks that followed we continued to date, going out on another six occasions. Once to the cinema, once ten pin bowling, which she said she had really used to enjoy but hadn’t played in years as well as four more meals. All the date had till now gone well and no matter what we did we seemed to have more and more fun. I had continued to see the way she made eating into an art form and even been in recent dates been rising to the occasion and finishing her meals.

It got to a point where I had to see if I could be happy with a thin woman, because if I could not it was going to have to be time to call it a day. I knew the only true test would be sex, because I had to know if she was able to really turn me on. It was all ready clear to me she was everything else I had wanted in a woman and as best as you can ever gage what a woman is thinking, I felt the feeling to be mutual.

Our ninth date, had it already been that many, doesn’t time fly, was to be the one. We had spent the afternoon dry slope skiing and then stopped for fast food for dinner before going on to a bar. There we found a quiet corner and spent the night chatting about anything and everything. As we were leaving it was obvious that this was to be it, and we were quickly back in my room. It might not have been the greatest sex, but there was a connection I never had with anyone else before. There was times, I know it was in my mind, but I was paranoid she might snap if I wasn’t careful. It just in the end did not matter anywhere near as much as I had feared, I loved this girl.

So as I awoke the following morning and saw her curled up next to me I was sure she was the girl for me and if she was to stay forever this lithe beauty before me then so be it. If she happened to gain a little weight along the road, then all the better. A little encouragement might be in order.
