chapter 11 - the presentation

Jessica got herself a nutrition bar and one of the treats they sent her home with, a brownie, and opened her laptop. She put in the thumb drive. The thumb drive only contained one file, a video.

Jessica opened the video and it started it. It opened with a disclaimer:

"Confidential. This video presentation, everything discussed in it, every technique, drug, and medical treatment in it, is the sole intellectual property of the Institute. Any unauthorized viewing of this presentation will be held liable under U.S. 17 Code, Chapter 5."

The video presentation opened with clips of Jessica racing, on her bike, in trail races, crossing finish lines, there was then a voice over "What if we could take a dedicated professional athlete like this woman, and make her more than double her body weight in a matter of months. It's now possible." The video then shown a progression of photographs of her at each of her medical evaluations, each photograph annotated with dates, weight, and body fat percentages. These continued all the way up to her follow up just a week prior.

The narrator continued as the video started showing graphics of molecules, DNA, and gene flow diagrams: "We call it Type 6 diabetes. With Crispr technology we have engineered a new virus that changes how insulin functions in the body and the body's metabolic pathways. A woman infected must consume huge amounts of sugars and simple carbohydrates every day. The body then takes those and builds adipose tissue with them, and the cycle continues." The video continued, this time showing a pear shaped woman that was about the same age as Jessica, the woman was naked. Her weight gain had gone almost entirely to her thighs, ass and belly, and her breasts while not small, were small relative to the rest of her. The narrator continued "some of our infected subjects have associated the sugary food they need with sexual gratification". A thin dominatrix entered the scene. She wore a large strapon and walked up to the pear shaped woman. She told her "Are you going to be a good girl?" The woman responded "Yes nurse Claire". Nurse Clair then bent the woman over a table that was piled with pastries and fucked her with the strapon while the woman ate. The narrator continued "Needless to say, this could be very lucrative for the institute." At that point the video presentation ended with a final legal disclaimer.

Jessica sat there in disbelief. This wasn't some rare disease. They had done this to her. She was angry now and vowed to make them pay for what they had done to her as she ate another one of the treats.
