chapter 10 - all jessica does is eat now

It was obvious to Jessica just 3 days after her last appointment with Dr Ames that the new nutritional treats they sent her home with had something highly addictive in them. She would feel sick if she went more than an hour without having one. It wasn't like when she needed a nutritional bar, when she would get the shakes and feel light headed. This was different. This was all encompassing. She would crave them. If she went more than an hour without having one, she would start to feel sick, and it was all she could think about. She could not even sleep the whole night without waking up and eating more of them.

At least they were good though. They were different kinds of desserts, like cheesecake bars, brownies, mini bundt cakes, fried pies and so on. She still had to eat the nutrition bars as well, every hour like always. These treats were in addition to them. She had no idea how many calories a day she was consuming now, but it had to be an insane amount. This was evidenced by her follow-up appointment, when they weighed her, she had gained 5 pounds since her last appointment. Dr. Ames had not examined her any further than weighing her. He just weighed her, and then had his nurse bring in a cart full of the treats and told her to "eat up". She couldn't resist of course, and stood there eating in the lace bra and panties they had given her until she was so full she couldn't stand it.

On the drive back to her house she thought about how it wasn't that long ago she didn't have an ounce of fat on her and would run as far as 100 miles in races in some of the most inhospitable terrain on earth. Yet now she was clinically obese, had not ran or been on her bike in months, and could not resist the new treats Dr. Ames office had given her. She grabbed her belly fat as she drove down the road and said to herself "I am only going to get more of this."

When she got home there was an envelope that had been slid through the slot on her front door, she opened it and there was a thumb drive in it with a note that said "You need to watch this."
