chapter 6 - 3 month follow up

Jessica dressed in her yoga pants, and a tank top the morning of follow up and drove to the clinic. Once again, Dr. Everett came out to greet her with a team of doctors. They took her back to an exam room and he told her "I am sorry, but we have to weigh you again." Jessica replied "I know.", took off her shoes, and stepped onto to the scale. The readout displayed 206 pounds, a 53 pound gain since her last appointment. This time Jessica wasn't upset so much as she was resigned to defeat, she knew she had gain a lot of weight and was almost surprised it wasn't even more.

Dr. Everett listened to her heart and breathing, and took her blood pressure saying "This is good, all those years you spent training hard paid off with your heart."

Dr. Ames then stepped forward and said "I am afraid we need to do another skin fold test." and he motioned for everyone to leave. Once they were alone, Dr. Ames said "I am sorry, but I need you to remove your tank top." Jessica removed her tank top leaving her wearing just a bra, yoga pant's and spanx around her belly. Dr. Ames saw the spanx and said almost forcefully "you can't wear that". He then took a pair of surgical scissors, cut them off her, and threw them in the trash bin. She had her yoga pants pulled up to her belly button, and he pulled them down to her hips, her belly fat now spilled out, and her love handles showing.

Dr. Ames took the calipers and started to measure every inch of fat on her body. This time he spent a long time doing it. He would grab her fat and pull out it, measure it, and then move on, not missing an ounce of fat on her. Everywhere, upper arms, sides of her breasts, stomach, thighs - front, back and sides, ass, and where her stomach hung over her waist now and love handles. Finally he finished and asked "You don't have very many stretch marks." Jessica replied "Yes, I have been taking really good care of my skin." Dr. Ames poked her belly fat, smiled, and said "good". He then left and called the other doctors back in.

Dr. Everett told her they would like to see her in 6 weeks and they sent her home.
