“Whoah, dude,” Arthur said. “You’ve really packed on weight.”
“It’s called bulking,” Caleb said as he stuffed a doughnut in his mouth. “That’s the point.”
“Yeah, but you usually gotta lose all the bulk you gain. It’s been a month since we told you Justin’s workout regimen,” Arthur said.
“Maybe he’ll find the motivation to follow through with his original plan at the end of his doughnut?” Siobhan asked.
“Tyler told me I need to bulk for a month before I start working out,” Caleb said.
“Chief, it’s been a month and a half. Just admit you’d rather pork up with your new buddy than try to outperform Justin in football,” said Siobhan.
“How much have you gained, anyway?” Arthur asked.
“I passed 250,” he said.
“30 pounds in six weeks?” Siobhan asked. “Nice work.”
“Don’t encourage him,” Arthur said.
“Wow you fools don’t understand sarcasm,” Siobhan said. “Also, drop it. You’re constantly talking about Caleb’s weight gain. Maybe you’re so against Caleb getting so thick cause you know you’ll be nowhere near his size. Ever,” Siobhan teased.
“What’s that supposed to mean? That I’m jealous of his weight gain?” Arthur asked. He crossed his arms. “As if!?”
“You’ve failed to let one day pass by without mentioning how he’s gained some weight. I think you’re just obsessed with it,” Siobhan said.
“Finally she dropped the sarcasm and is speaking facts,” Caleb said. He finished his last doughnut and let out a large belch. “I’m gonna go find Donovan. We were gonna meet up with Tyler and have pre-buffet meal tonight.”
“Shocker,” Arthur said. Caleb left the room. He was wearing old clothes that didn’t fit him. His shirt only covered his newly formed moobs, letting his belly swing and jiggle freely in the air, and his pants were extremely tight too.
“What’s your deal?” Arthur asked.
“You talking to me?” Siobhan asked.
“You’re the only person in the room. Yes, I’m talking to you.”
“I don’t have a deal.”
“You think I’m jealous of Caleb’s fat ass?”
“Hell yeah you are. You aren’t doing much to hide it.”
“I would never-“
“I’ve seen the way you look at it. You marvel at it. Your eyes light up. It’s kinda worrying actually.”
“For once can you drop the-’
 “I’m not being sarcastic,” Siobhan interrupted. “Whether you’d like you admit it or not, you like the extra weight Caleb and Donovan have put on. Frankly, it’s only a matter of time until you join in on their fun.” Siobhan grabbed her bag and put it over her shoulders. “I’m sure they’d welcome you with open arms. I don’t get this, really. Why the three of you suddenly like the idea of being fat. It’s a little hot, not gonna lie, but it’s still pretty odd. Go enjoy yourself, and start making this a normality for me instead of an oddity.” She opened the door behind her, and said, “Think about what I said. I’m off to the library. I’ve got a research paper to start.”
Siobhan left the room. Arthur didn’t know what to say. He didn’t really have anything to say other than… “She’s right.”
