Chapter 7 - bargaining

Grace’s mind couldn’t help wandering over to what could have become of her on the night of Helen’s party. She imagined Dianne and Christian’s faces as she would have stuffed herself; her stomach swelling massively and becoming increasingly tight and uncomfortable due to her own gluttony. If only Kyle hadn’t ruined it all for her! He didn’t seem to understand why Grace was so mad at him and Grace could hardly explain it herself.

A few days later, Grace spotted a message on her social media. Glancing at it briefly whilst on her break in work, her heart pounded in her chest, realising that it was from Christian. Her finger clicking on the little electronic envelope, she opened it up immediately.

Just as Dianne had mentioned last time, Christian was now asking whether she would like to come over for dinner one evening with Kyle.

Grace didn’t need to consider, immediately confirming their attendance.

“We’re going for dinner with Dianne and Christian?” Kyle asked that evening, disgusted. “What the hell for?” he complained.

“I like them,” Grace stated uncompromisingly. “We had a good chat on Saturday at Helen’s birthday party and I think it would be nice for us to do more with them! Plus, they kept me company whilst you were off getting so drunk you threw up all over my car interior on the way home!" she explained, trying to play to Kyle's guilt.

Kyle rolled his eyes. “Italian night?” he asked, mockingly. “They are so damn boring! You really expect me to spend an entire evening with them?”

“It’ll be fun!” Grace smiled, trying to get him on-board.

“Well, if I do this, you’re going to have to promise to get that gym membership sorted,” he bargained, pushing his pointy finger into Grace’s softer, fleshier middle.

Grace rolled her eyes and groaned. Most boyfriends would get a telling-off for being so blunt to their girlfriends and Grace considered taking offence. But then, she really didn’t want to miss out on an evening with such a kinky couple by starting yet another argument with Kyle.

“Alright then,” she smiled, accepting the kiss that came from Kyle afterwards, once he had got his way. He seemed so victorious, it made Grace regret giving into him so easily. “I’ll swing by the gym on the way home from work tomorrow,” she sighed.
