The girl from the bank (chapters 4 & 5 added)

Chapter 5 - opening my account

I spent the next 10 minutes apologising over and over again despite the protests from the girl from the bakery - who I could now fully confirm was indeed the girl from the bank.

Natalie said that I'd actually done her a favour by turning into her when she had her hands full with a tray of four coffees because she'd bought her team coffee to make up for her being late.

While I struggled not to stare at the now soaking wet and increasingly tight blouse Natalie was wearing, I somehow held it together and insisted I replace the four coffees she ordered.

She agreed but said she'd have to go and see if anybody had a spare work blouse she could change into as hers was clearly not fit for wearing the rest of the day.

We could have gone to the coffee shop - but I insisted that the bakery did better coffee and I only wanted to make up for spilling Natalie's original coffee with the best.

She didn't seem to mind and said she wasn't fussed because none of the coffees were actually for her.

I suggested that as well as replacing her colleagues four coffees that I at least buy her one for the inconvenience of ruining her blouse for the day.

We joined the queue in the bakery which would take a while. The morning rush was in full flow.

As we waited, I noticed Natalie's eyes examining the shelves full of cream cakes, pastries, and amazing carby treats.
