chapter 11 - stress dreaming

The restaurant’s dim lighting softly illuminated the room as Julie scooped up a few vegetables from the salad bowl before her. While her parents were never the type to pressure her into only eating healthy foods, societal and relationship pressures were more than enough to deter her from ever indulging in her deepest desires to cram her face with delicious treats. Dressed in a slim-fitting red dress, the skinny Asian girl chewed on her taste-less greens as she listened to her high school boyfriend Cody rant about the waitress.

“I can’t believe they would let a girl of THAT size work at an establishment as nice as this. I mean, I don’t care if she was wearing a suit, all that fat just makes her look… sloppy!”

Feeling embarrassed by his audible rant, Julie kept her head down as she did her best to ignore her boyfriend’s grotesque comments. The two had been dating since their sophomore year of high school and to celebrate their graduation, Cody’s parents decided to lend him some money for a meal at a five-star restaurant. Julie genuinely believed that she loved him despite all his flaws, but his general attitude towards female bodies left plenty to be desired. Trying her best to block out Cody’s hateful words as he rambled on, she soon found herself pulled back as the rant turned towards her.

“Speaking of which, how much do you weigh right now?” Cody asked with no hesitation.

Despite being used to his brash and direct style of communication, his comments always took her off guard, even after being on the receiving end of them for years.

“I was 115 this morning,” she said with annoyance in her tone before placing another bite of greens in her mouth.

“Yikes Julie, you better watch yourself. At such a short height, you are only 10 pounds from becoming chubby.”

Julie hated when he spoke to her about her weight and after so many fights on the subject, he should have known better. “And what would you do if I did gain 10 pounds? You know what they say about freshman in college, they all gain 10-15 pounds. Are you going to dump me if I become ‘chubby?’”

“Yes. That’s exactly what I would do. I don’t want to be with someone that doesn’t respect their own body.”

Julie growled to herself before going quiet, hoping that a pause in the conversation would shift the subject to something else before she made a scene. Looking down at her food, her salad had transformed into a bowl of mac and cheese. Without her mind recognizing the reality change, Julie scooped up a spoon-full and as the cheesy sauce kissed her taste buds, she moaned involuntarily from the delight.

“I can’t believe you’re eating that; you’ll gain two pounds from that bowl alone.”

Julie glared at her boyfriend before scooping up another serving. “Maybe I’ll get fat intentionally,” she said without a hint of sarcasm before taking another bite, maintaining eye contact as she chewed and swallowed.

To her relief, Cody sensed the growing tension and dropped the subject. When Julie’s eyes returned to the table, the meal had once again transformed, this time into a huge spread of pasta that covered every inch of the table. As the smell wafted into her nostrils, Julie’s stomach growled with desperation, urging her to dig in. She began shoving her face full of Italian food with reckless abandon, the flow of time slowing to a crawl. In that moment there was only Julie and her meal, nothing else mattered. When she finally laid her fork back on her plate, every single trace of food that had rested on the table was no more, her boyfriend Cody staring at her as if he had seen a ghost.

“Wow that was gross. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone eat that much food in one sitting; you definitely need to hit the gym tomorrow.”

Julie’s agitation came racing back before a strange pressure began to build in her stomach, diverting her attention as she hunched over. Closing her eyes in pain, she grunted slightly as her hands rubbed her stuffed belly through the fabric of her dress. “Oof, I don’t feel so good.” Standing up shakily, Julie awkwardly walked towards the restroom, ignoring Cody’s crude comments as she turned the corner and made her way to the restroom mirror.

Clenching her stomach tightly, Julie stumbled towards the sink and found herself staring at her reflection before she a sharp pain caused her to wince.

“BRRRRRRRRRRRUUUUUUUUUURRRRPPPPP”
< br>A single svelte hand flew to her mouth in stunned shock. She never belched like that, especially not in a public space. To her relief, the pressure in her stomach began to fade, but concern quickly returned as a new feeling of warmth began to course through the petite Asian’s small body.

“Oh my goodness, what is happening to me?”

The heat was soon accompanied by a growing pressure in her midsection. Julie’s eyes wandered downward before they flew open at the sight of her stomach expanding before her eyes, her dress feeling more constrained with each passing second. Julie’s hands quickly flew to her stomach, pressing into her expanding belly, her washboard abs a thing of the past as her fingers sunk an inch into her yielding flesh.

“Oh my… ohhhh mmmmyyyy…”

A swirl of pleasure washed over her as other parts of her body began to grow as well. Her waist was first to follow as her delicate rear end began to extend and widen, forcing the fabric of her red dress to strain between the dual forces of her growing belly and ass. Her stomach continued to grow, moving quickly from a cute potbelly to a full-on beer gut, her midsection beginning to naturally flow into a set of corpulent love handles that had formed at her sides. Down below, her thigh gap had begun to narrow as fat oozed into her legs, her thighs losing all definition as fresh adipose drowned her athletic legs. Shortly after her thigh gap disappeared, she found her stance widening as her thick slabs of leg meat began to press against one another

“Oh yessss… moorrreeee…”

New fat had begun to envelop her back, arms, and face when her high heels finally hit a breaking point. With a loud “CRACK”, her soft body fell to the floor as her shoes gave out, her dress tearing apart as soon as Julie landed on her cushiony backside. The growing girl sat in ecstasy as her body came under full assault. With new fat beginning to pour into her chest, her bra soon snapped apart and flew across the room, her once modest chest expanding into shapeless H cups devoid of their youthful perkiness.

After a few moments of additional growth, Julie’s body settled down. When her mind returned to her, she found herself to be completely naked on the restroom floor, drenched in sweat and surrounded by the remains of her old clothing.

Struggling to lift her body off the ground, Julie stumbled to her feet to find herself completely transformed. Gone was the thin little girl that had walked into the restroom only a few moments ago. The woman now staring back at her in the mirror was a short, round ball of fat. At 256 pounds, the woman staring back at her was categorically morbidly obese. Equipped with an expansive paunch, H cup breasts, a moon-shaped face, and two large globes of fat for her rear end, the body before her was a true temple of gluttony.

“Oh man, what am I going to do?” she said as she rubbed her sausage fingers down the length of her belly, looking across the floor at her discarded clothing. “I can’t walk out of here naked…” When her eyes returned to the mirror, she found a matching set of clothing hanging in the stall behind her, the sizing perfectly adjusted to match her much larger body. “Ooh well now that is convenient,” she said with a smile, completely obvious to the absurdity of the situation.

Waddling out of the restroom, the obese Asian girl made her way towards her table to find Cody with another, much skinnier girl. Anger and jealousy flared within her as she approached the table, interrupting their conversation as she stood beside the two.

“Cody who the hell is this!?” she said with anger, but as she investigated Cody’s facial expression, she saw more surprise than guilt.

“Julie? What are you doing here? This is my girlfriend Chloe.”

Thoughts raced through her mind as new memories flooded in. “But, I… we were…”

“Chloe, this is my ex-girlfriend Julie that I may have mentioned. We broke up a while ago…”

The skinny barbie eyed Julie’s pronounced belly in disgust, turning to Cody with shock. “She’s uhh, bigger than I had imagined.”

Cody went on to explain how they had broken up when Julie began to gain weight, but Julie was lost in her own mind, confused by what was happening. She found herself wandering off further into the restaurant by herself, her mind struggling to piece together reality when she found Stephen sitting at a table by himself, smiling at her as she drew near.

“Well there you are! You sure were in the restroom for a long time. Everything ok?”

Julie stood in silence as her memories adjusted. She was on a date with her boyfriend Stephen and had simply gone to the restroom to check her makeup. Nothing more.

“Everything is great babe,” she said as she took her seat. “I just wanted to look good for my amazing boyfriend.”

The world suddenly faded as her environment quickly changed. Opening her eyes, she found herself staring at the ceiling of Stephen’s bedroom, the room nearly pitch black as the clock read “3:52 AM.”

“Oh wow, it was a dream,” she whispered to herself. “Damn finals and stressing me out.”

Julie moved the covers to the side and tried her best to crawl out of bed without waking Stephen. Quietly waddling into the bathroom, Julie turned the lights on and found the same enlarged girl from her dream staring at her, all 256 pounds of her.

“Well, at least my dream got one detail right.”

With a grin on her face, Julie turned off the lights and went back to bed, cuddling with her loving boyfriend until she fell back asleep.
