Fatiosa

chapter 5

After that night, when Furiosa fully accepted her fate as Fatiosa, her daily feedings changed. Like her, they got bigger. There was no longer a definitive amount of food given to her every day. Instead, she was brought food constantly from the moment she was awake until she grew tired at night. Her double chin became more prominent. Her breasts became bigger and sagged more while her belly expanded several more inches outward and a few more downward. It was one massive stomach with feint fat roles that became noticeable when she sat, but no actual rolls that rolled over one another. Her upper arms also ballooned, the space by her armpits becoming clusters of bunched up fat rolls. Her forearms and wrist and fingers also became pudgy. Her ass was becoming shelf like and shapeless as it jutted out nearly a foot behind her. Her legs were covered in fat, jiggling with every step she took like the rest of her. Her thighs didn’t just rub together, they battled with each other. She had recently developed a waddle, although she spent most of her time sitting. Due to her rapidly expanding body, she had abandoned her clothes earlier that week. Her naked body was on display for the henchmen to laugh at and ridicule. She didn’t care in the slightest. As long as they kept feeding her, she didn’t care about anything else. She was Fatiosa now.
It was the end of her sixth week of feeding, late at night, when something finally happened. Fatiosa lied asleep on the floor of her room, her naked fatty stomach rising and falling with each deep breath she took, when she was awaked by the sound of the metal door to her room opening. She looked to Max Rockatansky sneaking into her prison.
“Furiosa! What the hell has he done to you” the Road Warrior questioned as he couldn’t believe his eyes.
“Max” Fatiosa questioned back. It was hard for her to speak. While she received daily human interaction, she hadn’t actually spoken to anyone in a long while. All she was used to saying was “food” or “I am a fat pig” or whatever else the goons made her say from time to time.
“C’mon, we’re getting out of here” Max tells her as he breaks the chain strapped to her ankle with a rusty metal wrench and tries to help her up off the ground, finding it difficult. “I need some help here, Furiosa. You’re a little heavier than you used to be.”
“Furiosa? What did you call me” she sounded confused.
“Furiosa. Your name.”
“Furiosa? I’m Fatiosa. I’m a fat pig”
Max looked dumbfounded at her.
“I’m Fatiosa. I’m hungry, Max. I need food.”
“Alright, Fatiosa. We’ll get you some food as soon as we’re out of here, alright? I’ll get you food. Just follow me.”
Max leads her out of the room with a look of concern on his face. He told her whatever she wanted to hear. What had Immortan Joe done to her? Her mind was twisted. They navigate the rocky halls of the citadel, darkened by nightfall. Every few minutes, Fatiosa would ask Max for food. All he could do was ignore her in the hopes that she would continue to follow. After a few minutes, Max noticed her breathing becoming labored and loud. He stopped and turned to her.
“Food” Fatiosa asked, her naked form covered in sweat, gasping for breath.
“Not yet. Soon. Fatiosa, you’ve got to be quiet alright? Don’t breathe so loudly. And I know it’s hard, but try to be a little lighter on your feet, alright? We can’t have Immortan Joe or his War Boys hear us.”
“I’m sorry. I’m just … tired and … hungry.”
“I know.”
Max turned back on his path out of the Citadel, Fatiosa following him from behind. A few minutes later, the two made it out by the bottom of the cliff side that holds the Citadel. There was a small truck, the repaired remnants of Furiosa’s destroyed war rig, waiting for them with the red haired girl named Capable, one of Joe’s former wives, waiting inside.
“Furiosa! What happened” Capable asked, as shocked as Max was.
“It’s Fatiosa, now” Max said to her quickly before helping lift Fatiosa into the back seat of the truck.
It took several minutes, but she finally managed to squeeze inside. Max moved into the driver seat while Capable moved over to the passenger seat. They drove away from the Citadel slowly, hoping the engine wouldn’t make too much noise. Their escape seemed successful until they heard the sounds of an engine revving up, causing Max to spot two headlights shining in the rearview mirror. He pushed his foot all the way against the pedal. They were spotted. They had to make as much room between them and the citadel as possible. Max and Capable noticed more and more headlights, as the vehicles started to catch up to them. Meanwhile, Fatiosa was questioning them about food from the back seat, telling them that they could go back if they wanted to because Immortan Joe had food. This was not the girl they knew.
Two cars pull up alongside each side of the truck. Capable warns max of polecats while he focuses on the road. They hear guns being fired at them from behind. Max knew they were warning shots because they wouldn’t risk killing one of Joe’s wives. They must have known she was with them. Why else would they be after them? Suddenly a spinning saw wheel cuts into the side of the truck and tears the roof off. Max stays at full speed and maneuvers the vehicle as best he can to try to shake the War Boys off of him, but, trapped between two polecats, it doesn’t do very much. The polecat to the left of the truck descends into the truck through the missing roof and grasps for whoever he can get his hands on. He misses, only for the polecat on the opposite side to grab Capable from behind and lift her up into the air. He got her. Max couldn’t stop. Like most situations in the wasteland, his best bet for survival was to just keep on going. The polecat on the left comes swooping down once again and grabs Fatiosa, who doesn’t even try to resist. He strains his muscles trying to grab ahold of her, her fat enveloping his arms that are unable to fully reach all the way around her girth. Regardless, he just barely manages to lift her up with him into the air, the pole he is attached to bending terribly. Just before it is about to straighten above the War Boy’s car, it snaps due to Fatiosa’s massive weight, sending her and the polecat plummeting to the ground, destroying the polecat’s car. The rest of the War Boys slow down and come to a halt, letting Max drive off into the desert. Although they weren’t expecting it to happen exactly how it had, they got what they wanted.
Fatiosa, sat on the rocky ground, covered in sweat and sand, looking up at the surrounding War Boys. A single tear rolls down cheek. She looks pathetic, like something Furiosa would be completely ashamed of.
“Please. Can I just have something to eat?”
