What i know now

chapter 2 - opportunity knocks once

This isn't the first time. With a long sigh, I let my head fall into the pillow out of disappointment.

A quick survey of my room reminds me how unmotivated I've been the last few weeks; dirty clothes scatter the floor mixed with the clean items that were tossed aside with no intent to be put away.

The house I rent is old, a mobile trailer built in the seventies with your standard amenities. Wood paneling might be a bygone style, but I'm familiar with it, being raised in one after all. The bathroom being across the house, I begin my lethargic journey to clean myself up as the cold linoleum floor wakes me before I'm ready, sending a shiver through my spine. A quick splash of cold water from the sink finishes the job.

The face looking back at me in the mirror is one I sometimes wish I could replace with something more bold. No defining features apart from a medium length blonde beard, my hair trimmed to an undercut at the temple and a clear complexion. But above all, the only feature I've been complimented on, my eyes. Wide ice blue eyes paired with my friendly demeanor have allowed me some female attention in the past. Stripping down for a shower, I can't help but knead what I have for a belly. Being heavy all my life has given my body time to shape itself to the contours of my movements, with three faint but obvious rolls giving my gut some kind of identity of it's own along with round man tits that hang ever so slightly around my chest. 290 pounds might be significant on your average man, but I am not average at 6 foot 5 inches tall with broad shoulders gifted to me by my own farmer heritage. I guess it can't be all that bad considering I get to walk around with some decent "weaponry" too.

Shower time dealt with, I meander back to my favorite place in the world: the couch.

The day wears on with nothing particularly intriguing occurring, more netfix, more youtube, more fantasizing of the possibility of more fat on my body and how good it might feel. But I can't, my trade is my strong work ethic and the muscles in my back helping me shovel dirt all goddamn day.

Whatever, I just wish I could go back and embrace the change rather than deny it to the point of insanity.

At that moment, a loud thump emanates from my room breaking my train of thought, leaving me confused to the how's and why's.

"Hope that stray cat didn't break again."

I say as I squint my eyes as if to focus on an answer. Peeking into the room reveals no new changes... other than a large shiny silver coin on my nightstand. A closer inspection highlights the fact that it's not a stamp coin like we have today, but rather a small engraving.

"Mihi somnium, et veritas? What the...?"

A few moments pass before the world around me slowly fades away to an ethereal mist, a warmth cascading through me that calms my mind and body. Behind the blissful peace, a soft feminine voice can be heard echoing within the void.

"And so it shall be"

"Wait, what?"

The mist fades to a particular room. In a particular apartment. After which I had a particular dream.

There's a knock at the door that startles me.

"Hun... you gotta get up it's time for school!

This can't be real... can't be...

(Sorry for a slow intro, I promise it'll get more exciting ;)
