chapter 5 - overhang vs hangover

When you wake up, you're not feeling too hungover, but you're definitely not your normal self. As you get out of bed, your whole body jiggles and shakes. You look down and gasp. Where you are used to seeing your delicate frame, today you see a much... curvier you. Your stomach is protruding out significantly, your hips are wide, and your thighs are thick and jiggly. You notice your breasts are much larger than they were. How did this happen so quickly?
You walk into your bathroom, somewhat distracted by the wobbling of your larger breasts, and look at yourself in the mirror. Your face is puffier than normal, and you've got... a double chin? You haven't got a double chin! You are growing more and more displeased with the reflection you are seeing. You look away. You do not want to see yourself. Now you're looking down. You look past your belly. Your feet are swollen. It looks as if you have large, fat toes. How is it possible for your feet to get fat? You look down at your legs, and jump back. They're so... big... and as you stare in disbelief you can see a strange texture to them. That can't be... cellulite... can it?
Lost in your own thoughts, you don't hear the door open.
"Hello?" comes your mother's voice. "I thought I heard you moving around in here. Are you OK?"
"I'm... I'm up!" you reply, shocked to see your mother. "I just woke up, and I was about to get some coffee."
You wait for your mom to comment on your major weight gain since yesterday morning. Instead, she turns around and leaves the room.
"She's ignoring it." You mutter to yourself, shaking your head. You walk to the kitchen with her, blearily staring into the abyss. You grab a mug from the rack and pour some coffee into it, bringing it to your mouth. You take a big gulp. Your tongue has the texture of sandpaper.
As the coffee kicks in, you continue to stare ahead as you try to ignore the chaos going on inside your head.
"I didn't see you come home from work yesterday," your mom says.
"I made a new friend at work," you say. "We went out and had a few drinks."
"That sounds fun. What was his name?"
"Her name was Clara," you say, subtly correcting her gender assumption. "I drank too much, so she walked me home."
"Clara? That's a cute name."
"Yeah, she's pretty. She knew the owner of the bar, Ian, so we got special treatment."
"Oh? How's that?"
"He served us drinks personally, and we didn't even order. I don't remember paying, either."
"That's nice," she replies, looking a little worried. You notice she keeps looking at your legs. She is checking out your fat. You want to be offended, but you can't be.
"Have you talked to Jason?" she asks.
Shit. You need to call him. "Not yet," you say. Now she's staring at your legs, clearly concerned. "I'll call him after work. I... I need to go to the restroom."
You make your way to the restroom, waddling slightly as your jiggly thighs rub together while you walk. You stand in front of the mirror. You stare at yourself in disbelief. You cover your mouth as you gawk at your reflection. You're... you're... fat. Your jiggly belly hangs over your waist, and you have love handles.
You look at yourself from every angle, dumbfounded. You barely recognize yourself. You shake your head, and exit the restroom.
Your mom is waiting for you. She smiles at you before asking, "would you like some breakfast this morning?"
"Better not, I wouldn't want to get fat," you joke.
She laughs. "You're not fat. You're just big. It's a cute big."
"Whatever." You roll your eyes. "I have to go to work now."

You shower and get yourself dressed, wearing your stretchiest, baggiest clothes. You don't even try wearing a bra. You'll need to go clothes shopping soon, and you'll need to be creative about finding outfits that will fit your growing figure.
