Was the sound of several handguns being switched off from safety to armed in the law enforcers' hands finally able to corner Donny Dimico, better known as the Kilo Counter for being on the FBI most wanted list for almost a whole year now for his crimes against society trying to "reshape it" as he prefers to call his actions. But here he was now, caught red handed with enough evidence to put him away for a long time.

"I'll say it one more time Donny, you are under arrest. Get on your knees...and put your hands up where I can see 'em," the leading officer announced taking one step closer to the offending party.

Only one thought seemed to be the most reasonable response to the situation of being apprehended like this, and that is:

"...EAT MY ASS PIGS!" Donny suddenly shouted as he suddenly bolted to his right, bullets started flying merely grazing his left shoulder, arm, and leg as he jumped through an old moldy window sending glass fragment shards flying as he tumbled to the ground not worse for wear.

With the law so close on his tail he darted across the field to his awaiting cat quickly climbing into the driver's seat before stomping on the gas pedal, the tires to the car squealed across the dirt and grass before speeding off. Several cops would do the same climbing into the cruisers before driving after the creep starting a fast paced car chase through the streets of Dallas, Donny could hear his own heartbeat in his ears never being so close to being caught by the fuzz in his entire career as a wanted criminal. It made him briefly think about his past and the many places he hid, even that short weekend of visiting the circus where he met that leathery old gypsy lady who swindled him out of 50 bucks with a promise of achieving eternal life, as long as he kept the talisman with him. Her eerie voice lingered inside Donny's mind rent free as he suddenly remembered where he put it, his gaze soon fell upon the glove compartment of his car.

"Pull over Donny, pull over now!" A cop car demanded through his radio receiver alarming several oncoming traffic cars there was a pursuit in progress.

Finding very little options at this point Donny dove into desperate measures now changing directions and driving onto Margaret Hunt Hill bridge switching lanes weaving through both sides of the road, while on the bridge at full speed he would reach over to open the glove compartment and pull out the magic talisman from his faint memory. It was a small skull shaped charm amulet decorated with rainbow feathers that seemed close to worthless at the time.

"That weird gypsy lady better be right about this," he stated firmly, holding the mystic item against the side of his head, closing his eyes to concentrate as if trying to make a fantasy wish come true.

"HOOOOONK! HOOOOOONK!"

Donny would open his eyes to see a full size big rig 18 wheel truck suddenly coming down the road towards him.

"Shit! Fucking shit!" He shouted as the massive vehicle nearly crashed right into him in a head-on collision if he hadn't spun the steering wheel at the last second, driving the muscle car off the road and plummeting straight towards the dark depths below of the water below.

The next day after Dimico's disappearance:

The sounds of shouting and arguing can be heard coming from a small two story house in the lush prairie suburbs just outside of central Dallas, Texas.

"Kim! Come on Kimmy, don't do this to me, please!"

"No! I had it up to here with you Feliz, I want you out!"

"Want me out for what? For what reason?"

"Hm, let me think about that for a second. How about you always throwing wild parties in my house without asking? Like last night for example, which I now have to set aside time out of MY schedule to clean up after. Or how about being gone all night drinking just for me to find out you're passed out in an alleyway somewhere, or prison! Or oh, how about the fact you have been living under my roof for years and you STILL don't want to get married, let alone PUT A FUCKING BABY IN ME!"

"Are you fucking serious!? You are really gonna throw me out on my ass just because I don't wanna be your baby daddy?"

"No, I'm throwing you out because you don't want to give me the family I deserve!"

Kimmy Little, a young and vital shortstack bucked toothed blonde with freckles yoga fitness instructor, and Feliz Chamberlain, a Native American spiritual hipster musician, have been dating for the past three or so years up until now after Kimmy had finally reached a point of self reflection of her relationship with Feliz finally deeming it as unhealthy to her sense of lifelong vitality. So, as a result she is now evacuating him from her life, effective immediately.

"I just want you out, I can't take just being in the same space with you anymore, just get out." She said brushing past the musician and exercising her right as actual homeowner to invade his upstairs room to start tearing down his band posters and other various belongings dumping them in suitcases much to his dismay.

"Kim! Don't you think you're being a little bit…I dunno...irrational?"

This made Kimmy stop her actions freezing in place, her head slowly turning towards him.

"Are you saying...I'm acting, crazy?"

"Psh, if the shoe fits!"

"....."

*Thud!*

Feliz was thrown straight out the front door with his luggage and guitar landing on the concrete sidewalk.

"Never...call me crazy, you should have known better than that." She said in a huff slamming the front door closed behind her.

And now after having the house all to herself for the first time in what felt like forever she realized something, she was all alone now. All alone in a house that was completely trashed from top to bottom from last night's New Year's Eve rave she didn't even have the luxury of being invited to, despite it being in her own home. As much as she wanted to feel better about cutting Feliz from her life all she felt was depression slowly seeping into her about the break-up already. For a split second even, she thought about inviting him back so she wouldn't feel so bad.

"No! No…he was toxic energy to me, he's gone and that's that." She declared, shaking those thoughts of running back to that couch potato bum out of her head.

Now tasked with cleaning up the kitchen to start off, Kimmy flipped the front counter mini television on to see the latest news update where the story covering Donny's tragic end was being uncovered by a field news reporter.

"Phil I am here at the scene where Donny Dimico, an FBI most wanted criminal and public enemy which, during a high speed chase with police, has been reported to have most likely lost control of his vehicle driving off the bridge and fell into the raging rapids down below. Here we can see a construction crane graciously helping police recover the vehicle from the water behind me now."

Kimmy would gasp aloud in shock placing a hand to her mouth seeing the wrecked remains of the sunken car being taken out of the water with the crane now being recovered and investigated by the present police officers.

"That's right Phil, the cops seemed to have successfully recovered the vehicle that was in fact used in Donny's getaway attempt last night, wait…is that right? That can't be right…ladies and gentlemen I-I think what I'm hearing...is that there is not, I repeat, NOT a body inside the car. In fact...there seems to be no sign of the criminal inside of the wrecked vehicle at all. Could this be that Donny has escaped and is still at large? Or is he perhaps, no longer alive anymore?...More on this story as it develops."

As the news station switched stories Kimmy found herself thinking more and more about the story she just heard as she went on with the chores around the house.

"No way, there is no way that guy could still be alive, not after a crash like that...but they didn't find a body, could it have...been carried away by the current? Or something? Maybe. But people don't just "disappear" without any logic or reason behind it. Could they?"

The more Kimmy pondered over the matter the more puzzled she became, unable to shake off the feeling the police investigators were…missing something, somehow.

She just had no idea how right she was at the time.
