Alexei Imanovisch was sitting besides the campfire. As the wood was crackling, he heard an owl calling through the forest, although he could not make out its figure. , he thought while gazing at the mesmerizing fire lighting up his surroundings. Somewhere in the distance, put against the steady sound of the flow of a small stream, Alexei could make out footsteps. Someone was approaching him. All the girls in the village – which, I may note, was a very special kind of village – where already sound asleep, and none ought to be but him! Other thoughts flashed through his head. Before he was able to come to come up with an explanation, the figure suddenly came up close behind hind, emerging from the dark. Up until then he had been baffled by the possibility of someone visiting him at the very edge of the village near his flimy set-up camp out near the forest path. The terrain was inhospitable and rough, although the view looking down the valley was splendid. Low clouds drifted through the valley and lights could be seen from his beloved village. Thus it came to a great surpise to him to learn that – as he could deduce from the enormous size of the figurine approaching him – that it was one of the fat girls which had came to him. He looked up and suddenly said, “good gracious me, dear fat girl, what are you doing out of bed?!”. The fat girl answered, “I was afraid I might not have eaten enough today, and thought I was going to die from starvation!”. In a desperate attempt, this girl whom thought she was dying from a lack of nutrition – which is a priori false considering that all of the girls have a diet of a minimum of 4000 calories a day (including fruits, nuts and vegetables) – broke out of her chambers and set out to find herself some food. She was completely oblivious of course, since the fat girls rarely go out of their village or even get out of their homes. (ever since Dixy – the fat girl in question – came to his village, she had been his favourite). He kindly said, “honey, don’t you worry, I’m going to make sure you’ll get plenty of food before going back under the covers tonight!”. Dixy sighed with relief. She might’ve been thinking, completely unjustified of course, that she was on the edge of death due to starvation, but her gaze commanded loyalty and empathy. While Alexei was silently contemplating the stars above and his village below, Dixy was in such a chaotic hungry-driven frenzy she had come into a fugue state and suffered a blackout – amnesia. She had forgotten she had that day nearly eaten three full-sized cakes, an apple-pie, six chocolate muffins with melted fudge inside, a fruit salad, a bag of mixed nuts, and a kilo of deepfried junkfood. Nevertheless, Alexei – being the understanding and supportive man he was – wasn’t angry at all with her for leaving her quarters, thereby disobeying the strict rules which kept all inhabitants of the village alive and prosperous. Thus he decided to escort her back (she was heavily panting right now at the knowledge that she’d soon have food to gorge on, as well as from the tiring walk the fat-bodied 400lbs weighing Dixy had to make to find her mister) to her cottage, and feeding her to comfort there. On the way back they talked about the beautiful stars that occasionally shimmered through the clouds, and the bright full moon that lit up the path along which they were walking. However, Dixy abruptly said, “I want you to stuff me good, when we get back. Will you promise me that? You know I can’t sleep without a full and satisfied tummy…”. Alexei replied with a smile, thinking Dixy understood immediately; although she had amnesia of what had happened during the day – which I will delve into more detail later – she still remembers all of those nights Alexei and her had spent together during the last two years of her stay here. Although she was suffering from the medical side-effects of the experiment that was conducted on her that day, she still loved Alexei with all her fat-beating heart.
