Granny goodness

chapter 2

Selina clutched her knife with both trembling hands. She was frozen in place and couldn’t hear anything over the adrenaline screeching in her ears. She didn’t hear Jay shout,” She’s some kind of freak! Run!”

This thing posing as an old woman launched itself at Selina and pinned her to the ground like a tarantula. “Granny” was stronger and heavier than It looked and easily kept Selina ensnared. With one hand it kept her mouth open and with another, it tried to force a glob of pie into her mouth. All her struggling did nothing and It shoved mouthful of blueberry pie into Selina’s mouth. It pressed its hand over her face, keeping her from breathing until she swallowed what was in her mouth. After all her struggling, Selina managed to get one of her hands free and in a position where she could use her knife. She slashed at its face until It recoiled off of her, clutching its injuries and falling into the table.

It looks up at Jay and Kori, uncovering it’s mangled face, revealing something inhuman under a synthetic skin. It’s real skin was black like oil, warped and distorted with a texture like melted plastic.

Selina screamed and ran for the kitchen door. She frantically picked the lock with her knife, breaking the blade doing so, and slammed the door then ran through the kitchen and down a hall at the other end. The hall had three rooms. She crouched in one and locked the door. She could hear the creature stomp down the hall. It stopped and in a deep, chilling voice, it cackled and stomped away.

Selina sighed. She thought she was safe for the moment, but that feeling shattered when she saw that she had taken the blue berry pie that thing had been feeding her. She couldn’t stop herself from eating it either. Anytime, she’d try to stop, her resistance was overrun by an uncontrollable urge like reflexively sticking one’s arms out when falling forward. After a few moments of trying and failing to stop, she gave in and finished the rest of the pie with her hands. She felt disgusting and that feeling only got worse as she looked down at her distended belly. She knew she was starting to get fat. She lifted up her shirt and cringed at the rolls of pudge and stretch marks. She could feel the rest of her clothes getting tight.

She knew she couldn’t sit in the closet forever. She couldn’t hear that thing stomping around anymore, so she could leave the closet and there were other doors to check. She had to get Jay and Kori before she escaped, though.

Selina quietly stepped into the hallway. There was no sign of the creature around, so she opened the door across from her. It was empty like all the rest. She opened the remaining door and had to cover her mouth to stop her scream. The walls, the floor and the ceiling were covered in an organic looking substance similar to the creatures skin. It looked like a quivering, breathing, black and petrified tree bark. She poked it with her foot. It was soft to the touch and she swore she heard something squeal. She slowly backed away from it, closed the door and walked into the kitchen.

The kitchen was less barren than the other rooms, but despite all that food, there weren’t any dirty dishes or even any signs that anybody had used the oven in years. Selina hated herself for not being able to resist taking a look in the fridges. She was already feeling hungry. The inside of the refrigerator was dirty, empty and it wasn’t even plugged in.

She still couldn’t hear that thing anywhere, so she figured it would be safe to return to the dining room. At least, that was the reason she came up with. Really, she wanted to get more food, but she couldn’t openly admit that to herself.

The dining room was even more of a mess. A struggle must have broken out after she ran. The table was smashed, with plates and food thrown all over. Selina was about to grab one of the smashed cakes, but she heard foot steps coming down the stairs. She knew she had to find a new hiding place quick. The basement door was right next to the kitchen door and as she was about to go back into the kitchen, she saw the basement door was ajar and the latch was broken. She stumbled down into dark, closing the old, heavy door as quietly as she could.

The basement didn’t smell like a basement. It was still damp, but it smelled sterile, like a hospital. Her lighter only provided enough light to keep her from bumping into any walls. The walls were covered in the same disgusting flesh as the room upstairs. She accidentally brushed her arm against it on her way down the stairs. It was warm and she was convinced that it was alive somehow.

Even with the lack of visibility, she refused to put her arms out to find her way. She wanted to avoid touching anything else that might be alive. She could only see a few inches in front of her face and she stilled walking right into something. It wasn’t a wall. It was warm and soft and she realized it was one of the other girls, Billie. There were dozens of extremely obese women trapped in the wall. Selina tried to free them, but she couldn’t do it with just her hands. Her knife blade was broken off in a lock, so she had nothing to aid her in freeing them.

She moved on and hoped that she might possibly find something that could release the other girls. Selina didn’t go far before she found something else strange. It looked like some kind of machine, but not like anything earthly. It was a tall, off-white rectangular prism, with a smooth-ish finish and no angles. It had colored lights in various patterns across it’s face and there was an alcove in the center like a coffee maker. She ran her hand across a row of the lights. The strange machine made a soft chime and sprayed a foam into the alcove. The foam grew and solidified into a cake. Selina tried to resist the temptation, but her will caved and she started eating with her hands. Her clothes became tighter, she heard seams split and she was much closer to looking like the girls stuck in the wall. She felt disgusting, especially now that she had to take her bra off, since the straps had gotten so tight.

She was so much fatter now, and she had no way of knowing how just how heavier she was. She didn’t even weight one-hundred and twenty pounds before. Escaping just became so much more difficult. Aside from the lights of the dispenser, she was surrounded by darkness that shrouded horrors yet unknown.
She heard something shuffling and Selina ignited her lighter to see something emerge from the shadows.

This story was amazing. It's actually a shame that's only 3 chapters long, just imagine if it was longer and a bit slower paced. You did a really great job

The pacing is just because it’s not a story that needs to be very long. I am playing around with a sequel, though.
