Hello, Adephagian my love. *kisses*

Watermelon. I'm sitting here eating Jelly Belly beans in the dark. Cinnamon. I have to assume you don't know what they are? I don't like regular jelly beans. But Jelly Belly gourmet beans come in 40+ flavors and most of them are really delicious. Coffee, or espresso? I've raided kiddo's Easter candy till there's no chocolate left, and so now we're down to the sugar-candies. Margarita, mmm.

Now this one is so delicious, and I just can't put my finger on the name of the flavor. That's why it's fun eating them in the dark. I can see us playing this game in bed, baby, only with filled chocolate candies, the kind that come in a heart-shaped box for Valentines.

I hate that I missed you tonight, baby. I've been reading a new book series, and that's what I was doing when you were online -- the Delirium trilogy by Lauren Oliver. Coconut. Not quite as good as the Divergent trilogy, but similar in that they are set in a future dystopia with a young female protagonist.

My top five Jelly Belly beans are, in order, buttered popcorn, pear, toasted marshmallow, peanut butter, and lemon meringue. I've only found peanut butter so far tonight. Blueberry and pina colada are pretty great too.

Ugh, licorice. Hate it!!

Let me try to focus.

The good thing about the dry spell you're going through, love, is that it's a palate-cleanser. Hopefully it will reset your tolerance and allow you to get stoned off just a couple of hits again. That's the way I always tried to look at it. And you know you'll appreciate it so much more.

Oh my god, pear.

Focus.

That's definitely espresso. The other one must've been coffee.

Baby, I can't focus tonight.

I am pleased that despite the disruption to your normal routine, you're still prioritizing your needs for food and rest. You're doing something right, lover. Do a few chores, eat, rest, repeat. You'll stay caught up.

My mind has been preoccupied with Melanie today, but not gotten anywhere. I think that what I've just realized is that this next part has to be a joint effort, and that you'll probably not be ready to tackle it til you have a joint, ha-ha. So I'm going to try to put Mel and Cheryl out of my mind until you're ready.

Buttered popcorn -- jackpot!

I have my last final exam tomorrow morning, and not sure what else the day will hold. I've got my fingers crossed for you, baby, that your Wednesday can be a well-deserved day off. Put your feet up, pack away a massive breakfast and lunch, and nap. Banana pudding.

If you Brits call all desserts "pudding," what do you call pudding proper?

It's probably just as well you missed me tonight, I'm an absolute flake. A total nut-job. I give up, love. I can't keep two thoughts in a row. As anxious as you are to get some gear again, I'm right there with you. I think the sexual tension is going to my brain.

I'm not complaining though. Because baby, you are so worth the wait.

I love you.

Swordsman, in my mind Joy was a widow, and Melanie's father had left them well off, perhaps with life insurance or a pension with right of survivorship. I don't think I ever discussed this with my co-author, however. Thank you for that feedback, because a
