Chapter 2 - no fun for a feeder

Chapter 2 – No Fun for a Feeder

Leo closed the door behind him and allowed himself a pitiful sigh. Dammit he was lonely. Sure, he could probably get any girl in the world but “any girl” just didn’t do it for Leo. He was going to be 28 this year and had been single for who knows how long. He certainly didn’t. Stopped counting. At some point it just becomes too painful to count. Probably always was too painful.

Truth was, Leo was a picky bastard. He had liked bigger girls for as long as he could remember. And he liked watching ‘em grow. He’d tried being with women before who were thin but all they did was stay thin. He tried being with women who were fat but all they did was lose weight. That was no fun for Leo. That was no fun for a feeder.

It wasn’t until a few years ago that Leo came to terms with the fact that he was a feeder. Certainly wasn’t an easy thing to come to terms with. Unfortunately, society wasn’t so supportive of feederism a few years ago. Unfortunately, it still isn’t. He’d been told that there’s a comfort in knowing some things never changed. But he couldn’t find the comfort in this for the life of him. So he did what every human does. He played his cards, even if they were shitty, and tried to get through this thing we all call life.

-----
The stairs creek, creek, creeked as the pizza boy stumbled down them lazily. “This place really is a shit hole” he said to no one in particular. Sad thing was, it was hardly and better than his place. Truth be told, his place was probably worse.

By some miracle, unbeknownst to Leo, he made it back to his car. Like the stairs in Sarah’s building, his car squeaked as he squeezed his sorry self into the damned thing. He placed the key into the starter and turned. The car roared and groaned like a crazy old man who’s nurse had just woken him up from his mid-day nap. “Come now” said Leo in a quivering voice. “Come now, lets not fight. Come on, come on! Don’t fail me now!”. Leo turned the key once more, twice more, three times more. His car just continued to choke and hiss at him. “Bloody piece of shit!” he yelled. “Fucking pile of garbage!” He punched and kicked at his car but, unlike people, cars aren’t intimidated by pain. Eventually, Leo gave up and sat back in his seat. He sighed loudly and closed his eyes. Perhaps he hoped to find the answer to why his car wasn’t starting in the empty darkness behind his eyelids? Perhaps he hoped to find the answers to life’s biggest question: why are we here? But he would find no answers there. Only blackness.

“Could be worse” he thought to himself though how he wasn’t quite sure. He was a 28 year old pizza delivery boy. He was single, broke, and an orphan. “It could be worse…” He groaned.

Eventually, though it was with great effort, the curly haired pizza boy forced his eyes open, took a deep breath, then grabbed hold of his car key again. “Come on” he said, “Come on, come on.”

Sarah was enjoying her third slide of pizza when there was another knock at the door. Dammit did she ever need to buy a door bell. Or maybe just a new door. Or maybe just a new bloody apartment! But who had the money for any of that. Sarah certainly didn’t.

“Who is it?” she asked with genuine curiosity. Wasn’t often that she had visitors this late. Wasn’t often that she had visitors, period. She figured it wasn’t a thief. Most thieves don’t knock. More importantly though, no thief would come to this place while looking to strike rich. Even rats kept their distance from this place.

“It’s the Grim Reaper. Who do you bloody think it is?” If Sarah was being honest she hadn’t the slightest clue who it was but if they kept up this attitude, they could stay at the other end of her door all night for all she cared. Not that that was saying much given the status of her door, but the point would have been made.

“Well, if you were the Grim Reaper I would let you in in a heart beat. But somehow I’m not entirely convinced. So are you gonna tell me who you really are? Or are you gonna stand outside my door all night?” There was a pause for a moment. Then she heard a loud sigh. Seemed like sighs were in abundance today. “Its Leo, the pizza driver. My car won’t start. I called a mechanic but its kinda cold outside. It is winter after all. I was hoping I could maybe stay with you for a bit while I waited?” “Well” she thought. “It seem not everything keeps its distance from my place. Some even come back for seconds!”

------
Leo and Sarah sat beside each other and they seemed to be hitting it off quite well. Sarah laughed as Leo told her some ridiculous joke. Then it was Leo’s turn to laugh as Sarah told him some stupid story about one of her coworkers. Sarah would take another slice of pizza and Leo would glance at her from the corner of his eye, hoping that she would magically gain 50lbs from it. She didn’t of course but a man could dream.

As the night progressed, Leo and Sarah became more and more comfortable with each other. They gossiped, told each other stories, and complained about the lack of creativity in romantic comedies. By the end of the night Sarah’s head rested peacefully against Leo’s chest. For the first time in a very very long time, the two of them were content. Amazing how the simple touch of another human being can be so comforting.

But, nothing is forever. Soon enough Leo got a call from his boss asking where he was then the mechanic called asking the same question and Leo took his leave from Sarah’s apartment. Not before exchanging numbers though, of course.

As he was leaving, Sarah reached out towards him with her right hand. She grabbed Leo’s arm, which was actually quite muscular to her surprise, and pulled him back towards her before he could go. Leo had a puzzled look on his face.

“Um” mumbled the brown haired girl. “Would it be too much to ask for a kiss before you left?” Her cheeks were red hot now. She was blushing so hard she thought she might burst. When Leo didn’t reply right away Sarah’s whole body turned red with embarrassment. She looked down at the floor to see if it held any comfort for her. But it only stared coldly back at her.

“No such luck then, eh?” whispered Sarah. But before she could say anything else, she found that one of Leo’s arms, the one she was holding, wrapped around her waist while his free hand gently tilted her head up towards him. His mouth was open ever so slightly and his face moved slowly towards Sarah. He brushed his lips against hers, then, before Sarah knew it, they were kissing. Damn it felt good to kiss someone. Felt damn good. When they stopped, she saw that Leo was looking at the floor, face foiled in a frown. She thought she heard him mumble something. “No fun for a feeder” perhaps? Or perhaps it was just her imagination.
